Barnwood Tavern is a great restaurant with a warm, rustic, and cozy atmosphere, complete with a fireplace. The vibe is pleasant and relaxed, a spot where you want to linger. The food is outstanding, delicious, and honestly amazing, offering good menu choices. Specific dishes praised include the shrimp tacos, described as fresh, flavorful, and perfectly balanced, and the burnt ends sandwich, noted for its smoky, tender, melt-in-your-mouth goodness. Other highlights are the steak sandwich, the Philly cheesesteak wrap, and pizza. The desserts are absolutely outstanding and fantastic; the fried banana cheesecake and the sticky toffee pudding are called unreal and perfection. The espresso martinis are also amazing. The service is excellent, outstanding, attentive, kind, friendly, welcoming, and not rushed. The owners and staff are incredibly humble, kind, and attentive, making guests feel genuinely welcome. Located in Danbury, they are also opening another location in New Milford. It is a 5/10, 10/10 experience that customers plan to return to again and again.
