Old Oak has been around as long as I can remember, and I hope it stays that way. The food is underrated. Great Portuguese food. Nice bar set up. Has outdoor seating. Classic old school bar feel. No thrills, a real bar & grill.
2nd time in Danbury in a few months and decided to try another Portuguese Restrant. We ordered the kale soup for an appetizer and it was delicious. For the main meal, I ordered the Portuguese steak and my wife ordered the PORTUGUESE BACALHAU À BRÁS (SALT COD AND POTATOES). Wow both meals were delicious and filled the large plates they use. Great place to grab a bite to eat and chill out. The Brazilian food is delicious. I had the shrimp with rice on the side with fried potatoes, and they made it spicy at my request. The sauce is delicious and they served it up quick with bread and butter and some delicious olives. Enjoy the many TV's playing sports while eating and then shoot a game of pool if youre up for it. They've got some good players that frequent this place. The bartenders are all super friendly...
