This was the first time that I have eaten at L'Ostal with another couple and it was so nice to be allowed to relax and chat and not be pressured to order to turn tables. The service and food were impeccable as always.

The maitre d' is very focused on ensuring everyone has a good gastronomic experience. The menu offers delicious options like escargot, beef tartar, striped bass, and olive oil cake with oil and vinegar sorbet. Standout dishes include the heavenly cauliflower gratin, signature gnocchi, and Merlu fish (Hake) in salsa verde with lentils and squash. Guests also love the fougasse bread, haricot vert salad, and herb-dressed salade verte. The chef often surprises first-timers with complimentary dishes, adding a lovely touch. With well-priced wine and outstanding food, Restaurant L'Ostal is a delightful destination for a casual yet impressive dining experience. The waitstaff is unbelievable, guiding and suggesting food and drink choices. The food was special: the gnocchi was crazy good and the trout was perfectly cooked. Chicken was very rich. Desserts were wonderful and espresso perfect. The wine list was of value with good choices. Guests loved the outdoor seating. The experience was wonderful, and both the food and service were excellent.
