“So on my way home and I’m starving but I’m in Durham and it’s almost 9:00 pm so I pull into Carmines and the guys r outside. I walk up and they say r u picking up and I’m like no I wanted one of the frozen pies in the case. Sorry register is all closed. Ok thanks anyway I said and one of the chefs hands me one of his pies and says enjoy. Love you guys at Carmines.“

“1st visit. Ordered take out & grabbed a coffee during the brief wait. Service was efficient & friendly. Establishment was clean & welcoming. I deeply appreciate that they offer tofu. We ordered the “Vito” swapping chicken out for tofu & the “Cypress Garden” sandwiches… both were delicious. The prices were reasonable for the high quality of the ingredients. One was $10 the other $12 & this price even included choice of side: pasta salad, apple or chips. We chose the lemon basil pasta salad & it was just as delicious as the sandwich’s. We are from the south and we have yet to find a good Mexican style restaurant here in ct.
The tacos are a 7/10 the tortillas are store bought. The tacos are double tortillas so
It fills you up faster. The meat is fresh. Steak, fajita, Pastor, Tripa, even the fish is grilled here. My husband likes their fish tacos, menudo and the tripa tacos are one of his favorites.
The pinto beans are fresh.
The Rice is not good at all. It tastes like plastic without seasoning. . That’s why the the 4 stars.
When we go as a family we just go for the tacos.
And their menudo. The staff speaks both English and Spanish. They welcome all but the kids need to be seated at all times. The food coming out is HOT.“

“This has become my new go to pizza parlor in town! The service has been excellent and you really cannot beat the prices. Greek style pizza which is made quickly and tastes great. The pie we like to get is spinach, bacon, and feta. I have also gotten a sausage calzone and a BBQ chicken grinder and all 3 of these items have been fantastic. I will definitely be back for more!

Chicken wings were fried to perfection and the various sauces were great compliments.
The hash fries were delicious.
Found the waffle too sweet for me, however, I am typically not a sweets person.
