“Congress Rotisserie is A-1! I first was introduced to it about 7 years ago at my place of employment in East Hartford when some of us decided to "eat in" and order food to be delivered. I have had their egg salad sandwiches, their turkey and stuffing sandwiches around Thanksgiving, and a bunch more. When a family member passed away, I brought about 20 sandwiches from Congress to help out my relatives. The food is excellent. There is a great variety and I couldn't recommend it more highly. There is a service charge for delivery and we usually tip as well, although, in the case of the time when I ordered to bring something for after the Memorial Service, I went and picked it up myself. They have excellent cookies and a variety of salads and the menu describes very well what is in the sandwich that is being ordered. I wrote this in response to the person who gave this one star. I think that person had to be rating the wrong place. My thumb goes up for Congress and when they ask me at work - "Would you want to have Congress today?", my whole hand goes up. This is not an eat in place, but a catering establishment. The food is all "to go" and ordered ahead of time or ordered to be delivered. Glad they are located in East Hartford, but I know they deliver in the greater Hartford area, not just East Hartford.“

We heard multiple times throughout the evening that “this was hands down the best wedding food we have ever had.” Mike provided a tasting for us to see which options we wanted for our wedding day, which was an intimate experience run very well by his extremely thoughtful and well organized assistant, Melissa. You can choice from a variety of waffle cone and topping types. Their staff are always friendly and helpful.
