Terrible service... Stood in front of the bakery door after morning opening as door was locked... Caught bakery worker's attention multiple times, but she ignored customer and didn't unlock door. Finally gave up and left... Won't be getting my business.

My wife and I were just in there today. We love Niantic and every time we visit, stopping at Giuliano's is a given!! We usually get friendly service but this time it was HORRIBLE. We were waited on by a Hispanic woman, black hair & glasses. Maybe the manager? She was very "as a matter of fact" about helping us and acted like she was doing us a favor. We asked for specific bagels and instead she just reached in the bin and took the first ones she touched. Then we also asked for some muffins. She threw everything into the same bag. Is it a good idea to place Salt bagels in the same bag as Sugary muffins??, I DON'T THINK SO!! We will still go back because we love their baked goods BUT Hope we don't get stuck with this employee again... Lastly, place looks a little shabby and could use a make-over but maybe that's part of the "vintage" charm.

Best customer service! Please support this local bakery. Joe went above and beyond to help bring a little Christmas joy (and šŸŽ…šŸ» cookies) to my far away from home son. So very much appreciated!

I woke up this morning with a strong desire to have apple turnovers from the bakery. I travel about an hour every few months to go and get apple turnovers from this bakery. I absolutely love them. They are perfect. They have the perfect amount of apples in them and the top of them is covered in that sugar frosting, which I love. They are the perfect amount of flaky. The inside is adorable. That’s a cute little place. For the most part, the service is normally pretty good there. We also grabbed two bacon, eggs, cheeses, and a cookie, which I forgot to photograph because I was so hungry that I scarfed down my sandwich.

My wife and I stopped in here just looking for a cookie. We ended up grabbing a blueberry muffin, chocolate chip cookie, peanut butter cookie, caramel brownie, and an Ʃclair! Needless to say, we loved this place! No, we didn't eat everything in one day!!! Lol!

Better than the 4.3 star rating imho.

Raspberry turnover has a wonderful tart filling and flakey crust.

Sfogliatelle was delicious crispy flakey exterior and the ricotta filling was creamy and smooth.

Nothing was overly sweet.

Lady at the counter was super unpleasant and basically told me they were out of what I wanted (strawberry cream cheese and jalapeƱo cream cheese). Seemed like she was annoyed by the fact that I wanted to buy bagels too. Never going back here.

We’ve had multiple items from this bakery where we said ā€œomg, this is the best thing I’ve ever tasted!ā€ :-) I’m gluten free and they have some amazing gf treats as well, and sooo tasty gf cakes to go. I’m so thankful to have found this place - I don’t know how they keep up with the superb quality with such quantity - very impressive! Highly recommend!

Pricey but apple cider donut was excellent. Pumpkin bar was average.

Brought a load of bagels back to Maine and a few sfogliatelle, just like I remembered as a child living in New York. Quick and pleasant service! Nice job, Giuliano’s!

best food no matter what you get, they are understaffed at front of store, only 1 person who takes orders, many times they don't answer phone to take phone orders, there is only 1 register, no separate line for pre ordered food, you have to wait in the long line to pick it up

Poor service. There is a brunette lady working behind the counters, rude! She treated us like she didn't want to help. Any question we asked, it was answered like she couldn't be bothered. There was only me and my SO and one white waiting for his order from the back. My SO asked about one of the desserts and what's it made of, she said she didn't know! How do you work there and not know what's in the dessert? What if someone has allergies? She sounded irritated that my SO was asking what's in the dessert.

She was just very dismissive to us. At the end, we asked for a bag to put all the box in to carry it easier, she looked annoyed and then gave us one of the clear bags that she put the bread in. Then said have a nice day and walked away. Didn't ask if there was anything else we needed or even help put the boxes in the bag.

We love going to bakeries. But I wouldn't go back here. There is a great bakery called Chimirri's Italian Pastry Shop in Wethersfield, they are so sweet and food is great!

Edit: I see there are some people saying service is great. I forgot to mention, we are South Asians (Indians). The lady could've been a racist. Anyways, I wanted to share our experience.

Walking by in vacation decided to stop in quickly. Delicious pastries, amazing breakfast sandwiches and the bagels are perfect. If you like a nice soft bagel this is THE place to get them.

The pastries were delicious. The customer service was poor in my opinion: it was crowded, and none of the staff were helping direct the customers. People were shuffling around and cutting in line. That should not be left to the customers and should be managed by the store in my opinion. It also took a really long time. Would definitely go back because the pastries were so good.

As many others have said this bakery is fabulous. They have so many pastries, cakes and breads on offer. We haven't even tried the sandwiches yet but I've heard they are exceptional. The flourless chocolate cake is so rich and chocolatey it's absolute heaven. The service was really great, very accommodating. They have a few tables inside and out (in warm weather) if you want to sit.
