“Hello All. I was on a mission. My wife had a taste for a pound cake, but not just any pound cake. She wanted a pound cake that tasted like her mom used to make. Well, it took some time to scan the internet and read some of the comments at other bakeries and I found myself very disappointed. As I was about to give up, I found Perfect Poundcakes. I read the comments from their customers and I thought I would give them a try. I placed my order online. When I picked up my poundcake I was greeted by a friendly staff that took extreme pride in their product. When I arrived home, my wife instantly recognized the aroma that brought her back to some wonderful memories of her mom. Going forward Perfect Poundcakes will be a part of our family events. Thank you so much and keep up the great work!“

“The service is incredible, Madison helped me understand all the allergies and recommended some cookies for me to try, while doing all of this it looked like she was alone but didn't rush me and let me take the time I needed. After I ordered and she went to get my cookies it looked like she was doing everything behind the counter at once and it looked fantastic. Will come back again“

“Today was my first time here! I had an amazing experience! The food was great! My frozen coffee was delicious! But the most amazing thing was I saw an employee stop what he was doing to bring an elderly dog back to his neighbor! It’s the little things for me. “Will definitely use for any get togethers when I need to bring something - I generally get from Big Y (at a very decent price!). But am SOOO interested in some of the other varieties including another customer who suggested Strawberry Creme Pie and now I want one too! Saw a Boston Creme in the photos - I'm in pie heaven. LOVE the pies I've had already! (tried Lemon Meringue, Peanut Butter and I think the first I had was a chocolate creme?)“

“(Note: This review is for the Albany Ave. location) This won't be a popular review. For decades my family would frequent Scott's Bakery. We loved everything that they offered (hardo bread, beef patty, coco bread, plantain tart and so on). When I said we liked EVERYTHING, I mean it. Everything was on point!! Yesterday was my first time (and last time) going into Scott's in about a decade plus. It is clear that management has changed (if not management, something has gone horribly wrong). The shell of the patty was beyond thick and there was little meat in it. The coco bread was beyond disgusting! It was a flavorless clump of undercooked dough. You know how coco bread is supposed to taste. It didn't taste like that at all. It seems as though they've cut corners on their peanut punch which had a gell-like texture. The BEST part of everything that I purchased was the Cola Champagne. As long as they continue to use the same distributor they can't mess that up. Maybe they had a bad day. I won't be spending money to find out.“

“I have been going to Taste By Spellbound for years and followed them from Buckland Hills to the now South Windsor location. I have never been disappointed, the coffee is the best in the world, (and I've traveled the world) and the whiskey bars are to die for. I always buy them up whenever I'm lucky enough to get them. The staff is always incredibly polite and helpful and always makes me feel welcome. Everything from the employees to the pastries to the environment as a whole is one of a kind. I have sent many friends and clients to Taste by Spellbound over the years and everyone that I sent there has high praise. I love this place and look forward to visiting every week. I'd give this place and the employees a straight 10 if I could. Great job, all.“

“Unbelievably delicious and beautiful sugar cookies!!! I ordered 3 dozen decorated sugar cookies for my friends baby shower and guest raved about them the whole time. Great service and communication makes the cherry on top. I’ve already started placing another order for my son’s upcoming birthday party and will absolutely be a frequent repeat customer. “You need to go back to making your pizzas and keeping them replenished the way it use to be. The new way of serving yourself is for the birds. You never have a variety and everyone’s hands are all over the utensils, disgusting! The single pizza boxes are flimsy. Everyone at that counter is always complaining about it.“

“Wonderful customer service, excellent flavor. I needed a cake last minute for my sons birthday. She had it ready in just 1 day. Absolutely delicious. Most store bought cakes grown ups don't touch, but EVERYONE ate this cake up! Tres Leches chocolate cake with oreo crumbles and topped with whole oreos as well. Absolutely recommend Carmen and her delicious cakes and treats. We will be seeing her much more !“

“I stopped here while in the area and decided to try a Soup Flight for $12 it came with 3 mini cups of soup ( New England clam chowder, tomato and sausage and kale ) with oyster crackers. Soup was delicious and very filling. Staff were helpful and friendly when trying to figure out what to order. Food tasted very fresh here too. For a drink my partner got Samocha iced latte which came with caramel, mocha, coconut, with coconut cold foam, and coconut Flakes. It was delicious! Definitely would grab coffee and or food when around this coffee shop again. This coffee shop is connected to Conn. valley brewing too. Plenty of parking also.“

“Used to live in East Windsor but moved right before this place opened. And honestly, it’s probably for the best it worked out like that because I would go broke! The aesthetic inside is beautiful. And exactly what one hopes for a new modern bakery! The staff was very friendly! I picked out a cinnamon roll that was insane! Massive. And went with a coconut cream donut, that was the best donut I ever tasted in my life.
This place is going to do good! Great experience and sweet treats and I hope all the best to Molly!
