I live about half an hour from DiFiore’s in Ellington and stop there every time I’m in the area to stock up on raviolis. So far we have tried the cheese, sausage, lobster, and shrimp raviolis. They are all delicious! Our favorite is the shrimp and garlic! The fresh loaves of bread are to die for! Best bread I’ve ever had in my life. 2 visits in the last 2 weeks, each time I got more than what I came for. Not a great place if you are looking for average food & low calories, but if you aren’t afraid of the calories matching the flavor this is the spot! Never gonna be a skinny man! Soooo much more to try and I look forward to every bite to come!

I always drive by here, but have never stopped in before today. I am glad I finally did-- a gem of a local market in Ellington, DiFiore has a great selection of fresh made pastas, baked goods, oils, and hot food at reasonable prices. There are spaces to order at the counter and dine in at the cozy sitting room, or get takeout. I got takeout penne alla vodka (came w/ a complimentary focaccia) and two cannoli, both were delicious.
