I visited this restaurant last night, and the experience exceeded my expectations from start to finish. Every cocktail was crafted with incredible attention to detail, and it was clear that a lot of thought and care went into both the drinks and the food.
We started with the steak tartare, and I'm still thinking about it today!!it was absolutely outstanding. Every dish was beautifully presented, full of flavor, and prepared to perfection.
The service was equally impressive. Our server Victor was attentive, knowledgeable, and thoughtful throughout the evening. One detail that really stood out was that our pasta was brought to the table already split into two portions, which was such a nice touch. Beyond our server, every member of the staff checked in to make sure we were comfortable and had everything we needed. The manager was also incredibly friendly, welcoming, and genuinely invested in making sure guests had a great experience.
The combination of exceptional food, perfectly crafted cocktails, amazing music, and outstanding hospitality made for a memorable night. It's rare to find a place that gets every detail right, but this restaurant truly does. I can't wait to come back with friends and enjoy another evening of delicious food, creative drinks, and such a wonderful atmosphere.

I ordered NY strip medium and a Caesar salad with no croutons. The salad came with croutons. It was ok. The steak came and the presentation was very nice, but it was over done in the worst way. No char, no flavor, like boiled meat. I tasted the broccoli and it had a funny taste like chemicals. I smelled it & it smelled like maybe horseradish so I asked and he said no only oils salt & pepper. I asked him to smell it & take it away. Something was very wrong with it. had 2 drinks they were ok, small but ok. I also had a regular coffee. After the broccoli I couldn’t eat. I only had like 2’slices of the steak and asked for a box. I never make a big deal when the food is bad. I just left it on the table. No use in bringing it home to throw away. It was pricey 104.00 with tip and I only ate the salad and very little of the steak….& it’s hard to screw up steak, but they managed to do it.

I had such a great experience here honestly some of the best service I’ve ever had. Fabrisio was incredibly welcoming and made us feel right at home, and Giovanni was just as amazing. They both did a fantastic job taking our orders and were so kind and attentive the whole time. Definitely coming back!

Th staff were kind, personable and attentive. The food was delicious. If you wanted a more hip vibe stay downstairs by the bar, but if you wanted a more refined, quiet environment sit upstairs. This restaurant has it all and the overall experience was two thumbs up.

We had a party of six meet up for dinner. It was the first time we all had ever been to South Bay. Every single person had a different dish. Every single person loved their meals. The restaurant is lovely and Steve our waiter was excellent. I would recommend South Bay to anyone who likes a diverse cuisine with each option deserving a place on the menu.

dry overcooked fish that didn't taste fresh. caesar dressing lacked flavor and was thin. the short ribs looked disgusting, with a gelatinous thick canned looking sauce. service was very attentive though and the location is great if going to The Wrehouse.
