Food was not good. Not served the description on the menu. If you just go for apps maybe better but the entrees weren't worth the price. We were a party of 3 and the server took the liberty of adding gratuity which my husband didn't notice and he re-tipped on top of the total. Lesson learned...complain and get it taken off the bill.

Not sure how we didnt find this gem sooner! Beautiful library/wine setting right off Rt. 1. We caught them between seatings on Father's day and did not disappoint! Service was very attentive but a couple of the bus staff did not know very much English. We had the cioppino, Seared Tuna and Seafood Risotto dinners... Amazing; the hanger steak not so much. The fried Calamari was one of the best Ive had in a while and the desserts too! Drinks were great and extensive wine menu. We would absolutely go back.

we had an absolutely wonderful meal at South Bay yesterday, thank you so much! We will definitely be back

Great service and food. We had a large party and food timing was perfect for multiple courses. Disappointed to be seated in the bar where the music is loud and not on the empty second floor. Next time, we will request that.

I was really excited to try this restaurant as I'm a big fan of Harvest, which is the same owners. There is no way to say it gently, the food was not good. We actually left after appetizers. Mostly it was bland, but the grilled calamari was awful. Very disappointed.

My review is from a nightlife point of view, as I have not tried their food: I was originally going to spend my money at this location, but after my experience, I will make sure I will never give them a dime. I went on a Friday night with a group of six minorities for a night out. Upon getting inside the building, it was filled with 100% Caucasian people(which is an expected demographic for Fairfield area), the front door man said to me “do not cause any problems, as this is a private event.” I responded and also thought to myself trying to figure out what would make him say that to me? While in the building for maybe five minutes, a random woman comes up to me and says “excuse me but my friend would like to know what are you doing here? This is a private event, and you and your friends are making us feel uncomfortable and you guys are too old.” I responded with nobody’s bothering you guys. We are just here for drinks, how are we bothering you guys and making you feel uncomfortable? She responded with well, you guys are too old. I find myself perplexed, because “too old” felt like a subtle way of saying we do not have the same skin color as the people in the building. Another five minutes have passed and a security guard comes up to me and says hey you guys need to leave, this is a private event. Of course I am all respectful of a private event, but if we already paid $10 to get inside the building then why would you guys even allow us inside and not just say in the front a private event is going on? The security guard then goes and says the event is for college people only and that we are too old to be there. Myself being a 25 year-old male think to myself how am I too old to be inside of a bar and what kind of under 21 event is being held at a bar? The bar was filled with of what I noticed people younger than myself Caucasians so I don’t understand how I am too old to enter a bar… I would rather them say “you do not look like the rest of the crowd here so please leave” so I get a better perspective of Fairfield area, rather than get a BS excuse of why I can’t come to a bar. We got our money back and left.

Opentable Diner

Small plates were delicious and great atmosphere. Went there with a friend. We sat upstairs . It's a bit quieter upstairs .

I ordered 2 Vietnamese Buns with steak. There was hardly any steak in them. The burgers were very good but the octopus was tough. Service was very attentive. Great location for the theater. Good drinks

First time eating at this restaurant and will definitely be coming back. Everyone's entrées were really good.

There was a loud argument of staff and manager(?) within easy earshot of us at our table. Music was extremely load for an almost empty restaurant.

Food good service atrocious. Went 20 minutes without server coming to table - finally had to go to bar to ask for bill.

Great food and my server was terrific. However, we were seated at a table for two next to the stairs. I asked to move to another available table for two and was told no. I'm not sure why since I had a reservation and was there first.

Menu looked really good; however, the food wasn't. Items ordered from the menu were not what was brought (had substitutions). Taste of seafood was bad. Even the fries were burnt and not edible (ordered those to go). Very disappointing since I was really looking forward to trying them (based on the menu). Will not be returning or recommending.

The food is always great. This particular evening our entrees were brought out before we finished our appetizers and those plates had been cleared. Otherwise good.
