I wish i could give this place 3.5 stars.

Pros: very tender filet, shrimp cooked perfectly. Interesting u shaped fish tank arch doorway. Staff was energetic and friendly and warm. You get both noodles and rice, which some places make you pick one or the other.
Iffy: could use a serious deep clean. The chef's rolling carts were flat out dirty. Vegetables cooked last and well after most of us had finished eating the protein. Stuff is.... everywhere. Things that should be in a back storage room are scattered across the bar and side chairs. Just..... very cluttered.

I wish I could give this restaurant five stars, but they don’t deserve it. I went there to celebrate. I graduated from high school when we first got there. The lady of the restaurant was being so disrespectful towards me and my family and we decided to stay there but afterwards when we got seated down, we had to wait like 30 minutes just for her to come and afterwards we ask her a simple question. She gave us the biggest attitude and she was being disrespectful so my family and I decided to leave once we were leaving this woman decided to talk bad about one of my friends in front of my face and I don’t like how she was the owner of the restaurant and wasn’t being professional

unfortunately we were disappointed primarily with the Food and the Hostess ( she must be either owner or partner) I can't imagine anybody being able to be so indifferent to customers , and getting away with it. I should have got that 1st clue and left. But it was a celebration and I wanted to give it a chance . Although the waitress was friendly the Chef was not experienced at all.It was obvious to us all watching him at another table. It made me nervous. 2nd clue.... They were completely understaffed, many tables around us who were there before us Waited and waited. We walked in at 8:10 and didn't eat till 9:45 pm. We made the best of it in between talking to each other and those sitting at the table. Finally when chef started cooking we were yawning . The steak, shrimps, scallops, chicken, and lobster were over cooked . The bill $188 and I wish I could say the food was worth the wait. Will not be returning. Wild Kaji in Shelton will remain our place from now on.
