Went here for dinner on Valentine's Evening, all though the food was amazing, the server suck. We got there at 9:30 and waited a hour for our food. The server took our order and never came back to the table. The was a bus lady helping us most of the time. While we was waiting for our food the table next to us who came way after us got their food before us. It was our first time at this restaurant and I am not sure if I would frequent this establishment again due to the poor service. Even it was busy, we watch him cater to the table that was two seats over from us. This guy was tall Caucasian older guy black hair heavier build.

Absolutely amazing experience! The bone-in ribeye was hands down one of the best steaks I’ve had in a long time — perfectly cooked, juicy, and full of flavor. The fried calamari was delicious and crispy, cooked just right.
The atmosphere was great, the drinks were really good, and the customer service was top-tier. The staff was attentive and always ready to serve with a smile. You can tell they truly care about the experience.
Definitely coming back and highly recommend this place!

We had a delicious meal at Southport Blackstone’s. The bad service started from the second we sat down. Table set with wine glasses, no water glasses. Ordered our drinks, took 15 minutes to return with the drinks. Didn’t get water until we asked for it. Never got the olives and bread the other tables got. Finished our drinks and waited until our dinner came 25 minutes later to ask if we’d like another drink. We each ordered a glass of red wine. We thoroughly enjoyed our meal. Cooked to perfection. Waiter came back and asked if we’d like a dessert menu. We said sure. After another 20 minutes, he came back and asked if we ever got our dessert menus. We asked for the check. Another 10 minutes for the check. I completely understand that it was Valentine’s Day and it was busy. But we watched others get better attention. When you pay $264 for a dinner for two, I think you deserve better attention.

Went here for the steak and pasta, but the best part was the atmosphere and service. Our waiter Bujar was very polite and made the experience very pleasant. Definitely will be coming back.

Anthony, our server was outstanding. The steaks were cooked to perfection and all the sides were well done.
We had an incredible dinner at Blackstone's Grille in Southport, CT, and it was one of those meals that reminds you why you love going out to eat. From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was warm, upscale without being stuffy, and the service was spot-on—attentive but never hovering. We started with the calamari and the crab cake, and both were phenomenal. The calamari was perfectly crispy, tender inside, with just the right seasoning and a great dipping sauce that had a nice kick. The crab cake was loaded with lump crab, minimally bound, and seared to golden perfection—no filler nonsense here, just pure crab flavor. For the main event, we shared the porterhouse for two, cooked medium rare exactly as requested. It arrived sizzling, beautifully charred on the outside, and a gorgeous pink throughout—juicy, tender, and bursting with that rich, beefy flavor you only get from a top-tier cut. They nailed the temperature; it was one of the best steaks we've had in Connecticut. Paired with the garlic mashed potatoes, which were creamy, loaded with real garlic flavor (not just a hint), and the ideal side to soak up those steak juices. To top it all off, we enjoyed a bottle of Silver Oak Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon. It was the perfect match—smooth, elegant tannins, dark fruit notes, and just enough structure to stand up to the porterhouse without overpowering it. The wine list here has some serious gems, and this one elevated the whole meal. Blackstone's Grille delivered on every level: outstanding food, generous portions, great wine, and a vibe that's perfect for a special night out or a really elevated date. Highly recommend— we'll be back soon, and we're already dreaming about that porterhouse again. If you're in the Southport/Fairfield area and want a memorable steak dinner, this place is a must-try!
Blackstones Grille in Southport was absolutely wonderful! They catered my sister-in-law’s baby shower and everything exceeded our expectations. The food was excellent — fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. The customer service was fantastic from start to finish: professional, attentive, and genuinely caring about making the event special. Every single guest enjoyed the food and we received so many compliments on the catering. I highly recommend them for any event!

Very few restaurants offer Prime Rib Roast.. Breakstones does on Thursdays. I enjoyed it for my birthday. Service was excellent. Food was excellent. My wife had halibut and enjoyed it.

This restaurant was obviously short staffed the service started good but as the restaurant filled it went to nonexistent. The food was good but service is what brings you back.
Had an amazing dinner with my family for new years. I will be coming back!

Terrible service. I was there on New Year's Eve and they were extremely understaffed and ill prepared for the evening. Had to wait an hour and a half just to get a drink. Food was just ok. Not at the quality level it has been in the past.
In full disclosure, this experience occurred on New Years Eve, we went in knowing that and assumed the restaurant would be crowded. Our experience at Blackstones in the past has always been good, so although we knew things would probably be slower than usual, we still expected good service. We had a 7:00 reservation for four people, we got there on time, was told we had to wait just a bit, but we did not get seated until 7:25 and then put at a table clearly meant for two. After waiting a good ten minutes, we were finally able to flag our server and told him this table was unacceptable. Fortunately, he was able to move us - win! Moved to new table, much better, but now waited another 20 minutes for our drink order to be taken (we didn't even have water). Our order was eventually taken for food and drink around 7:50, but no bread was brought over until we asked, and we probably didn't get any food until maybe 8:15 or so - remember, our reservation was at 7:00. Really not okay. I want to make it clear, the servers were overwhelmed to the hilt, and we really do not blame them for the poor service. The restaurant was clearly not prepared, took too many reservations and therefore the customers were not given the experience expected. When you come to a restaurant like Blackstones, ready and willing to drop a good bit of money you expect excellent service. We never received an apology from the host (a good man) or offered anything as compensation. We are not the type of people that expect freebies, but this type of restaurant should be prepared for the craziness of New Years Eve and be ready to treat their customers with kindness and respect. Perhaps someone should have walked around with a tray of drinks offering one to those of us waiting (we were NOT the only one, many people had to wait for their tables).Outback Steakhouse does this! Hopefully lessons are learned and they will do better in the future, but I highly doubt we will go back next New Years Eve.
We sat down and waited at least 20 minutes before a waiter brought even water. The rest of the night continued the same. Had to wait for drinks, wait for our order, wait for everything. Fire alarm was blaring for at least 30 minutes before fire department showed up to turn it off. We received no plates for appetizers being shared, no silverware before dinners were set before us. It was a disaster in terms of service. The food was ok, but if you expect a family of four to spend nearly $600 on a steakhouse dinner, we expect service to be moderate at best.
