Based on the reviews, Gruel Britannia is an amazing English tiny restaurant tucked away in a quiet corner, set on the part of the post rd you don't mind traveling to on the weekends. It is a small British restaurant which serves breakfast, lunch and dinner. The restaurant is very small and has a few tables which turn over pretty quickly. Parking is at a premium or limited, and the outside atmosphere is nothing but a parking lot, but well worth the trip. The interior atmosphere is amazingly like a English grocery store with a food area, and the decor is classy and welcoming. The service is great, very welcoming, attentive, and consistently excellent. The food is absolutely fantastic and incredible. The menu has multicultural varieties of options, and the flavor profile feels like good English comfort food. Specific meals mentioned include the French dip served with a side salad, the shepherds pie, and the guava flavored danish which was warmed up and really good. The Spice Bag Fries are a full entree portion. All the sandwiches and desserts tasted like they were made on-site and fresh. The coffee is the benchmark for what a great coffee shop should be. Prices are moderate, with large portions for the price.
