Great teamwork behind the bar. The food Experience at the bar matched that of the dining room experience. The bar and restaurant was busy but Alex, Carlos and all of the staff hustled and the food was hot, tasted wonderful and of course left me wanting desert. If you have not visited this establishment, you are missing out. Everything from their service, their extensive drink menu, their delicious "tapas", their creative specials, their daily menu to their tray of deserts is an experience. This is our second visit here and we are absolutely in love with this restaurant. From its eclectic decor, super attentive staff to its fabulously fantastic tasting tapas and entrees....where do I truly begin. The owners ( Rob, is always stopping by to say hello and check in) are visible and make you feel welcomed, my waitress Alyssa was very attentive and knowledgeable about the menu. I brought my friend with me from out of town and we were having a GREAT night with the bartender Dustin (who literally was excellent), and at the end of the night it was just my friend, the owner, and I. The conversation was calm and civil and fun and suddenly out of NOWHERE the owner proceeded to verbally assault us, calling us expletives and making us feel unsafe and unwelcome. We decided it was no longer for us and stepped outside, at which point he FOLLOWED US OUTSIDE and alternated between apologizing and cursing at us and begging us to come back inside until we left. I’m glad we didn’t go back inside as his behavior was erratic and potentially dangerous, considering we were two women and he is a much larger man. We were afraid and felt safer walking home (in Hartford that says something) rather than staying put. I’m bummed because I used to like this place, but it’s come to my attention we are certainly not the only women with this experience. Please be careful y’all.“

“I made a reservation here on a Saturday for a date night with my wife and we had a great time. The atmosphere was cool. The service and food were all very good. (We had Cuban Sliders, Calamari and loaded plantain nachos). It was nice to have a unique restaurant experience for a change. It’s the type of place that everyone in the area should do at least once.“

As someone with celiacs sometimes going out to relax can be quite anxiety producing as I worry for cross contamination and getting sick. Walking in I was asked if anyone in my party needed a gf menu- they asked me! I never had to ask which was the first amazing point as normally I have to ask and half the time restaurants barely have one. Second wonderful moment was the super larger and delicious gf menu. It was all so accommodating. We indulged and got the calamari as an appetizer which came out with an allergy tag on it and the server noted it was gf. It was such an anxiety reducer as I normally question things and triple check with the server and kitchen if things really are gf. Finally, I got the fish and chips. Similar to the appetizer it came with an allergy tag and the server noted it was gf. I also was able to get more or less onion rings as my side. The servers were friendly and kind. It was all so yummy and just such a great celiac friendly experience! We will definitely be back!“

“I tried TJ’s Burritos Bloomfield and had such a great experience from start to finish!

We chose to sit at the bar, and right in front of me were fresh herbs growing — used for their drinks, which was such a cool touch. We were handed three different menus packed with options, and the bartenders were super friendly and happy to answer all our questions. We even got to meet the owner, who was just as awesome to chat with.

We ordered the Cuban quesadilla, and let me tell you — it was so good that I’m already planning to go back for another this week. We also tried their drink bucket special — a huge margarita for just $10!

Overall, highly recommend this spot — great vibes, great food, and great people. We definitely will be going back here soon!“
