Popped in to pick up a cake for an anniversary. They had many to select from and we decided to go with the strawberry shortcake. It was so delicious, fresh and moist. Everyone raved about it.

My family’s go-to cake place!
The spice cake with cream cheese frosting is a sleeper hit, perfect in the fall. The strawberry with cream and vanilla cake is also a classic and I can’t forget the cookie platter and the pretty sugar cookies. You really can’t go wrong.
Everyone is so nice and helpful.

I went in with my coworker today. The shop smelled delicious, is impeccably clean, and has many options.
We met and spoke with Kim. She is kind, personable, and really proud of Di Mare.
We had great conversation & left with several mouth-watering sweets; for our office.
I've had cakes from Di Mare before and they are delicious. I feel compelled to write a review mainly because the personality and whole vibe in the shop! I highly recommend & will definitely return! Would give more than 5 stars if there was an option.
Delicious Italian pastry shop. It's an hidden Gem to die for. Kim was very helpful and knowledgeable.
I ate so many Italian pastry in Staten Island. But this joint is something special.
I give this place 5 out 5 cannoli .
Excellent baked goods
Amazing people the are so caring and loving to their customers making sure to accommodate to the sugar free family I love the amazing absolutely wonderful beautiful people and the lady there who spoke to me and made cupcake for me
I purchased a dozen assorted pastries and a dozen cookies plus 2 dessert breads and was pleasantly surprised that the total was extremely reasonable. All the items were very good

I ordered my anniversary cake from here & it was ABSOLUTELY disgusting!!! It tasted like something that would be served at a nursing home. I requested for yellow cake with a raspberry filling with butter creme frosting and ended up receiving a sponge cake with barely any filling and large amounts of whipped creme. It was very disappointing to say the least because I drove 2 hours from Middletown to pick up the cake. My husband was very sad about it because he was so excited to enjoy it. He tasted it and said that it tasted OFF and I would have been better off ordering a cake from Carvels or Cold Stone Creamery. This is the SECOND year in a row
this bakery has let us down and ruined an
order. Last year we ordered our anniversary
cake from the Hope Street location & the
baker had to refund me and offered to make
another cake. This bakery made our wedding cake 7 years ago and sent it to our wedding venue at the Greenwich Hyatt, the guests loved the cake but clearly this place has definitely went downhill since 2017 this was one of the best bakeries in the area but it’s been nothing but a waste!!!

Cute bakery but the girls behind the desk made me feel very unwelcome and the mousse mouse tasted stale

Cake came out just like the picture I gave them. The inside was delicious. Contributed to my daughter’s baby shower being a success!!!
I emailed ordering a cake on May 8th for my daughter’s birthday. They told me to email two weeks before to order the cake officially- I emailed the 18th for a cake needed on the 29th. I received a reply that said “Good morning Lauren, I'll be in today I like to take orders over the phone. You can either give me a call or give me your number and I will be happy to call you.” on the 19th and then called and refused to make the cake as I didn’t email her exactly two weeks before even though I had emailed May 8th. I would have ordered in early May had she emailed and said I need to order more than two weeks ahead but her email said “Hi This cake as for 50 would be a 3 tier plus crown and would cost $650.00. It needs to be ordered 2 weeks in advance”.

DiMare made the cake for my wedding – it was the best cake I’ve ever had! Sabrina was easy to work with and made cake tasting so much fun. The list of options feels truly endless and she was really patient as we tried each flavor ;) The cake on the day of our wedding was beautiful. Highly recommend!

Not Fresh
Cake arrived super-frozen. Note said 45 mins to thaw. Still a little frozen after 2 hours. Tasted stale.
Bad experience. This is not a fresh bakery. Just an outlet for the main one. An outlet for the day old / week old stuff, I guess.
Not going back

Horrible service! I have had SO many people who swear by this place- the other half only have warned me and i should have listened. My poor mother and husband tried to handle the cake for my daughter’s birthday. not only do they now have the knowledge or capability to make the cake that I wanted, they told my poor mother that if she didn’t put a deposit down “right now”, she won’t be able to make an order at all! I then found someone who can actually do what we need. my mom cancelled the order and was told she’d get a full refund. Three days later, Maria called me (who wasn’t even there, mind you) and YELLED at me on the phone! “They did so much work FILLING OUT THE FORM!” and “why would I put a deposit if i didn’t even know i wanted the cake?”.. when i started to explain she said “i know! SHE (mom) was here and not sure if you wanted us to do it. but SHE paid and i’m NOT refunding it.” They lacked the knowledge to tell my mother what they could actually do, the customer service skills to explain to her how we can go about this and all be happy, and the decent manners to speak to any of us on the phone and give a decent explanation as to why.
