I had a reservation but decided to stay at the bar for my full dining experience. The bartenders were attentive and helpful when it came for recommendations. The food was tasty and amazing, the highlight of my dinner was their mushroom risotto, followed by their beef tartare. My favorite drink was the Apres Ski!
Normally The Cottage is exceptional food and service. The food and drinks were great as always but not sure why the service was so off today, perhaps new people? At some points they didn't back for a long time when we were ready to order and other times they were rushing us to order without disclosing (until much later) that the kitchen was closing. I will always love The Cottage but hope they can improve their service.
We love it here! Only ever been to the Westport location before this visit but this one holds up. Honestly one of our favorite restaurants in Connecticut.
You can't go wrong with anything in the menu, but you may need to be a little adventurous. The Waygu Bao Buns and Deviled Eggs are must orders imo. I had to stop paying attention to the conversation when I first ate the Bao Buns.
