Chapter One Food and Drink Mystic CT

Wonderful dinner at Chapter 1. We almost did not get to go because the Open Table app said we were wait listed. Our group went from 6to 4, so checked the app and we were able to get a table at 5:30. When we arrived at 5:15, the place only had people in the bar. It did not get "busy" until we were leaving. The manager was amazing and said ALWAYS call the restaurant if you can't get a time, there may be a chance they may be able to accommodate. Scallop Risotto was made gluten free and a 10/10. Roasted Cod was made gluten and dairy free and 10/10. Fish and Chips 10/10 * and they use REAL onions in the onion rings . Chapter 1 Bolognese was the only bust as no meat was seen and was lacking flavor. The chocolate dessert and cheese cake were 10/10, cocktails were great. Waitstaff was amazing. They appear to only have high top tables, so it was a little challenging for an elderly parent.

We had a very nice dinner of clam chowder, onion soup, shrimp over pasta, and baked scrod. All delicious and well presented. We were there on a very quiet, cold, winter night on a Monday, when many places are not open. Parking is on the street or public lots. Right on the Main Street in Mystic.

Love this restaurant- French onion soup is delicious and prices for downtown mystic are reasonable! Also really like the ambience and service! One of our favorite restaurants

We enjoyed our specialty drinks before dinner and the soup of the day (tomato) and the clam chowder were very tasty. My dinner scallops risotto was presented beautifully and the scallops themselves were seared perfectly. The risotto was way to salty. So much so that I couldn't eat very much of it. I did eat the scallops however. My husband had the salmon and found it to be good but a little fishy tasting. He did like the light sauce that was on the pasta. We chose this restaurant based on reviews we read ahead of time. We also were out for my birthday so it was a special dinner that just did not live up to the reviews. We don't spend money on a fancy dinner very often and when we do, we expect it to be excellent. We felt a little like we missed the mark this year.

Went for a late dinner after the haunted walking tour and it really was a great way to end the night. Service was great and the food was just as great.

My wife and I stopped in for a late brunch yesterday and both got the lobster benedict, which was excellent. The bartender was a cheerful, friendly guy who I overheard being very patient and accommodating with a nearby customer who had many food allergies. Great place to duck in for grub while shopping downtown.

We had a great experience here, it was a sunday early evening and the dining area was pretty much ours. The bar area was rocking.

The food was great, the drinks were not watered down at all and the staff was friendly and attentive. I'm definitely gonna eat here again.
