“When Pigs Fly is a great breakfast location offering new breakfast specials every week and they have a Coffee Bar! Yup unlimited pour your own coffee buffet. Special pancakes and french toast are my go-to they bake the French toast breads in house and usually have seasonal flavors. Must try if you are in the area they also have a sister restaurant in Mystic, Connecticut named “Somewhere In Time cafe” if that's closer to your stay. Be prepared to wait in lines on the weekend. This place is very popular with the locals. But overall great breakfast“
“On a whim we stopped for breakfast and it was delicious. Not only is the food good, the ladies display the best in hospitality. Respect and customer service to ALL who come in even those that just want a cup of coffee. If you're near the USCGA, go there! We will be back!“
“I enjoy coming here for breakfast because it has that feel of home. The staff is friendly and jake makes sure to come out and speak to you personally. The only reason I put 3 stars for the food. And because the last 2 times I went there. They didn't have great but other than that, the food is awesome. Never had any bad pleads. I highly recommend that you give them a try“
“Great spot for a meal, quick bite or dessert. Our server Betty was extremely nice, attentive, and helpful. The Diner is kid/family friendly. It has both comfortable booths and tables. There is a good selection to choose from. We were served quickly. My daughter gave me a bite of her pancakes and they are some of the best we've ever eaten. Pricing is really reasonable.Parking: Large parking lot that can get busy depending on what time of the day you go.Kid-friendliness: Very loud friendly. Good selection and kids menu that comes with dessert. They also have large screen TVs.“
“Our first time visit to the area and Mystic Diner was recommended. We enjoyed their breakfast several mornings. Clean, friendly, attentive staff, many selections, breakfast all day, reasonable prices. Lots of desserts but didn't try any. They have a take out window. If it looks like they're packed and long wait, go in anyway, the place is huge. It happened to us and there were plenty of tables/booths available.“
“We were traveling in the area and thanks to Yelp, we discovered Norm's Diner. What a wonderful discovery! We had an amazing breakfast ... omelette was cheesy and filled with broccoli. We also had corned beef hash that was delicious! The sourdough and rye bread toast were buttered to perfection. Our service was perfect and would love to travel back and try lunch! A hidden gem in Groton. We did four stars because we did not care for fried potatoes but everything else was AMAZING!“
