Not the experience I had hoped for on my birthday. We arrived on time for our reservation to an empty hostess station. After five or so minutes waiting, my husband went into the bar side and let the woman in there know that we were there for our reservation. She replied that they were “a two woman show” whatever that meant. The dining side was empty except for an event that was happening in the upper area. A second woman came to take our order. Neither of the “two woman show” introduced themselves so I cant identify them by name. Our waitress was fine. Not overly attentive, just ok. I ordered the lobster bisque bomb. It was not great. The lobster tasted frozen to me. As a person who grew up in NH and Maine who has eaten a lot of lobster in my life, the watery and chewy texture is a telltale sign. There was definitely not the advertised 1/2 pound of lobster in it. The bread bowl wouldn’t have held that much. The price was as expected in my opinion, but the quality wasn’t there for me. Combined with general vibe of not really caring whether we were there or not, I wont be returning. Which is unfortunate as I have been talking about trying the bisque bomb for a few years now :/

Whether you are looking for somewhere to go for date night or a nice dinner with family, Fords is the perfect place to enjoy a cozy atmosphere, and with a wide variety of good eats. My husband and I had a date night and we had the best night. From the side Caesar to the entree and from the pistachio martini to the dessert coffee, we will be coming back. Had a great conversation with our waitress and I cannot wait to return and try more of the menu.

They can take all my money🥰 This place provided a level of flavor and quality I haven’t encountered in quite some time. Truly the finest restaurant and the most impressive seafood I’ve tasted in a very long time.

Great experience at Fords! The NE Clam Chowder was one of the best I've had, and with our server's recommendation we got dessert... the bread pudding is phenomenal!

Pretty much flawless from apps to the caramel sauce on my bread pudding. Wonderful staff. I hosted my family and it was a home run.

LOBSTER BOMB…. It’s a must order. The seafood risotto was not the best I have had, but still high quality food. Would recommend hitting this stop if traveling from out of town.

Had a late lunch early dinner. Fantastic food. Loved the Lobster bomb. So fresh and great. Brought a friend from Texas. She could not get enough of the lobster. You know it is good when you talk about the food the next day. The restaurant was so welcoming

I wanted to share my past experience with Ford's lobster by the sea in Noank...it was alittle wait time as it was extremely busy even with reservations...however,when we got seated right on the water facing the water it was so beautiful! Our waitress was fantastic and attentive!
My dad and I both enjoyed a amazing lobster sandwich with chips and a bowl of clam chowder it was outstanding! So flavorful...it was a perfect day !

Been there many times. Haven't had a bad meal yet. Always hard to decide what to have. Too many good choices.

Definitely not worth what they charge. Bisque bomb was 64.00 with super thin bisque and 2 pieces of extremely chewy lobster, and lobster roll bread fell apart. Rolls were very small. No outdoor dining area.

We chose Ford's because we were craving Lobster. We were really looking forward to having hot lobster.... As you can see, our rating is a 3, and that would be for the lobster. The appetizer of hot shrimp with garlic butter was DELICIOUS. Highly highly recommend. We kept that dish so that we could keep dipping in the garlic sauce. My son's lobster risotto was way too cheesy and he could barely taste the lobster, the cheese took over the taste of the dish. When I gave feedback to the waitress, she got very defensive. I own a business and appreciate when people politely give feedback, but she instead defended how it was made. My dish was lobster that she helped me create it being on the spinach salad. It was supposed to be the hot lobster, but the lobster was cold and surprisingly expensive, of what we created of lobster meat put on a salad. Now that I read the other reviews, I see that I am not the only one surprised by the unexpectedly high price. Our waitress again got defensive when I had asked why the price was so high when I had just asked to have lobster put on top of the salad. Not the experience we were looking for.

We brought friends that have never been to Fords, they are as impressed with the entire experience just as we have been. The waitress walked over and it was as if we have always know her. she was spot on with her recommendations. Big hit and one of my friends is a food critic.

Service was great. Menu is spectacular along with the daily specials. Noise level high and the temperature was a bit too cool so do bring a shawl or jacket, just in case. Good presentation and quality of all items. Will be back!
