As a former employee I can say the LACK of management in this facility is incredible. they left the cook at the time in charge of the establishment who’s been sent home multiple times for being drunk. Closes and opens whenever they please, and in March had a termite infestation in the wood of the building that I didn’t see resolved in the months I was working there. When I asked to speak with someone higher than the cook I was told there is no one higher… lol. All the waitresses was exceptional but due to the lack of management as said got away with alot such as being unnecessarily rude to customers for no reason. The FEMALE cook and Chris was amazing though and deserve more credit.
If they hired good staff and had a on duty manager trained in being so they have the potential to be a a good little spot. I was just insanely took back by the lack of organization and professionalism from the restaurant as an employee, cannot imagine how customers felt.

Stopped in for breakfast and my wife was greeted at the counter by the rudest lady ever. It seemed that she was inconvenienced that someone would come in to the restaurant and god forbid want to eat there. Before my wife could say anything the hostess barked out that it would be a 30 minute wait which we said not a problem to. When she asked for our phone number and my wife gave her an out of town area code she rudely stopped my wife so she could start over. The lady who was cooking decided to take out a vape pen and take a huge puff like it her life depended on it. I’m sure health code does not allow someone to openly blow her vape smoke by food that is behind cooked. We left to see what other options we had and after 5 minutes we got a notification that our table is ready. We decided to cancel this opportunity to eat at this establishment as the troll working the counter would definitely require us to pay a toll, let alone eat some food that Quasimodo blew her smoke all over. Very slow, and attitude about being slow. No rhyme or reason to how food comes out, we waited 45 minutes for a simple breakfast and it wasn’t even that good - the home fries were burnt and oily, the eggs Benedict was dry, the scrambled eggs were a joke, and nothing had any flavor.

Restaurant was recommended as a spot to visit during our road trip to Mystic. Paid to park to come to this restaurant on a Saturday within their operational hours (11:30am) and they were closed. Restaurant had patrons inside it so not sure why they were closed/we were turned away. Nothing on their website or google indicated they were closing early.

The food was just okay, and the service was slow, rude, and disorganized. They can’t seem to handle busy mornings, which is ridiculous for a place that specializes in breakfast. They were running out of food options by 9:30am. You have to be very proactive about placing your order, getting any drinks - even water - and paying; otherwise you’ll sit there forever waiting. But then when you do ask for anything, they act like you’re seriously inconveniencing them. Everywhere else we went in Mystic was lovely. I’d never go back here and wouldn’t recommend it to anyone. Go anywhere else.
The food and service was amazing. Meghan was our server and she was extremely attentive. The only issue I observed was the customers acting unreasonable and entitled. Sometimes the food takes a little longer than expected. That does not give permission to take it out on the server.

Great folks, great yolks! Seriously, one of the best Egg Benedict's I've ever had. Fresh, light hollandaise, perfectly done poached eggs, crisp but not overdone bacon made by people who care about the food they're making. Friendly staff who appreciate and pay attention. My wife's breakfast was equally good with fresh high quality ingredients perfectly prepared.
