Via Emilia Reviews
Delicious short rib pappardelle and authentic tiramisu. Will be back!
My husband and I have dined here quite a few times. We came in last week to celebrate our anniversary. The wait staff were very attentive, without being annoying. The expresso martini, as always, was perfection. They recently refreshed their menu and we tried the muscles with red sauce. It is seriously the best red sauce I’ve ever had in my entire life. A nice ending touch were the complimentary glasses of champagne to toast our anniversary. I cannot recommend this restaurant...read full review
Great little Italian resturaunt. Fresh, chef made meals, just right portions that were very enjoyable. Friendly staff and intimate seating. Outstanding cockails, must try the Double Espresso Martini, and wine selection. Place books up at meal time, so reserve your table ahead of time. A must eat at location.

Via Emilia is a hidden gem that serves exceptional Italian cuisine in a cozy and romantic atmosphere. The restaurant offers excellent service, with attentive staff who cater to dietary restrictions, including amazing gluten-free pasta options. The menu features delicious dishes like pesto gnocchi, ziti with beef, and short rib ragu papardelle, along with expertly crafted cocktails like the espresso martini, which is highly recommended for its perfect balance. The staff makes guests feel at home, creating a warm and inviting environment, ideal for a memorable dining experience. The food is generally good, with standout dishes such as cappelletti in tomato sauce and the veal porterhouse, which is cooked and seasoned well. Homemade bread, served with ricotta, chickpea mash, and garlic confit, is a highlight, though it is suggested to warm it up for a better experience. The drinks menu is good, and the espresso martini is especially enjoyed. There are several vegetarian options available, including the mozzarella appetizer and good vegetarian dishes, though some guests prefer less cheese and warmer bread. Parking is easy, with free street parking or nearby paid lots. Overall, Via Emilia is a great place to enjoy Italian food, friendly service, and a cozy atmosphere, making it a must-visit for those in Mystic.
