Ixtapa may be the best Mexican in Hamden. That might not be saying much but the tacos, enchiladas and burritos are tasty and come with rice and beans that will leave you bursting at the seams.

I have to say the staff were super nice and patient; answering any questions about any dish or drink we. I wasn’t a fan of their margarita mix. I preferred the burrita taco which was amazing. I can’t say I would go back for drinks but definitely for food.
