Number One Fish Market Reviews
We picked the right place! We were in from out of town and I needed to pull a super dinner together for 8 adults. With some coaching and a lot of restraint, we nailed it. Thanks for the help navigating the most impressive selection of gorgeous seafood offerings I’ve ever seen!
Everything looks soooo good. From fresh, frozen to prepared food they have everything. AND local fresh eggs and produce.
Terrible. purchased over $40 of fish salad. Was salty and dry. Called several times. Was told the owner did not believe me. Going their since they were across the street.
Had no reason to lie. Did not appreciate the response.
Never again.
Will tell everyone I know. #1 fish market is # 2 on my book.

Number One Fish Market is a hidden gem in Connecticut, known for offering the freshest seafood selections in the area. Customers frequently praise the high-quality fish and seafood, enjoying favorites like Chilean Sea Bass with house marinade, Jonah Crab Claws, and Snapper, all celebrated for their freshness. The market also features cooked items that many customers are eager to try on future visits. While the prices may be slightly higher, many return weekly due to the excellent quality and the friendly, helpful staff. During Covid, they even provided delivery to cars, adding convenience for customers. Shoppers are often surprised by the fresh farm produce available, including corn and tomatoes that surpass most farmer's markets in freshness. The small space on weekends shows just how popular it is, but customers can always order ahead for pick-up or delivery. From shucked oysters to clams, every bite is a burst of freshness and flavor, making it a top choice for seafood enthusiasts and cooks alike. Number One Fish Market truly rivals seafood markets in Boston and New York, offering the best seafood and produce that keep customers coming back for more. Customers have even reported enjoying delicious crab cakes and wild salmon, with one group receiving extra oysters during a special celebration, showing the market's commitment to customer satisfaction.
