GET IN YOUR CAR NOW! Go! And let me tell you how everything was nothing short of amazing! As a New Yorker I have to admit Ct sucks with Spanish food but THIS PLACE IS IT! If you miss Dykman food or 181st THIS IS THR PLACE! Everything was delicious! The drinks were great and service was great Dan was quick fast and did it all alone! As a server I was blown away with everything service food and ambiance!!! I will be back and if I could be a walking billboard for them I would! This place is a piece of home!! Shoutout to the owner and workers!!!

Found this place while in Hartford for a work conference and will seriously drive over an hour to go back on a date night! We were a group of 8 and we were all extremely happy with our food. Everyone expressed that it all had great flavor. I personally had the churrasco mofongo and it was one of the best I’ve had (and anytime I go to a restaurant where they serve it, it’s what I order!). Their coconut mojito (one of my favorite drink) was also one of the best I’ve ever had. It was creamy where as sometimes it’s served more watery. Anthony, our server, was patient with our large group and accommodating. Great, Dominican ambiance up to the whimsical signs with DR specific words. HIGHLY recommend this restaurant!

Excellent service, great music. The food is delicious and the Fresa y Coco drink is even better. Yes I will be back!

First time dining at Caribe and it was really good. The empanadas were great. We also had CERDO pork and CAMARONES shrimp. Both were amazing. The fried plantains are excellent. The service was excellent and the food was served quickly. I would definitely go back.

This place is fantastic. Only a few minutes from the Mark Twain House, they are a small restaurant with delicious authentic Island cuisine. An absolutely wonderful seafood soup, plantains, beans and rice, ribs, chicken and luscious sauces. A must go place. I even got seafood soup to go for my husband. Went with 2 friends. They got chicken/steak with onions a peppers. Perfect seasonings. Go and try it.Kid-friendliness: Local place for folks.Wheelchair accessibility: Ground level.

The service was terrible! The food came out in waves and was unflavored. The restaurant was freezing!Edit: because I cannot respond directly to the restaurants response.I would be grateful to review those tapes. There was at least 4-5 minutes in between each person getting their food. Each time the server came back (who is the one that took our order) he asked whose food it was? Everyone at the table ordered the maduros and as he picked up each bowl he asked "who ordered maduros?" They were also awfully underripe. This is not a battle but my honest experience. And to auto add a 20%tip was well under deserving.

Clean wise excellent food excellent but service is very poor when customer seats the first thing waitress have to serve is water and utensils and pay more attention to the tables to see who needs anything else if the correct that they will have more clients and serve some type of simple munchies like bread with butter wild customer wait for the food

My first time dining @ Caribe and upon arriving, the exterior and interior were both inviting. The food was hot when delivered and delicious. Our server was the absolute best! Another restaurant I will be visiting again and again! Thank you!!!

Food was so amazing ! So tasty and fresh! I also had the passion fruit mojito, and it was delicious, I would recommend this place for a date or just hanging with the girls! Definitely visiting again in the future.

This was an excellent restaurant. My friend and I shared the street food appetizer and empanada. Empanada was delicious, crispy outside and well seasoned beef inside. For me the meat items on the street food was a little more cooked than I like but it was still tasty and served hot. Our waiter was efficient and polite.
