Delicious Portuguese food. This is an amazing restaurant. We didn't know what to expect, but the hospitality here turned out to be great. They were warm, welcoming, and prompt. We would recommend to first timer Iberian food lovers AND seasoned Lisbon born connoisseurs.Parking: Look around, you'll find a spot!

Food was amazing, you can taste the freshness and care put into each dish. We got the seafood platter to share as an appetizer for 5 people and it was perfect. The calamari was perfectly cooked and I loved it; and I normally don't like seafood. The dishes are authentically Portuguese with some unique ones sprinkled in. 10/10 recommend and can't wait to go again!

What a wonderful place for authentic Portuguese food in Hartford for dinner. The salted cod dishes were the closest we had for dinner in Lisbon! Brings back wonderful memories of our trip to Portugal.

I would recommend Chaves to anyone. The food it wonderful, and the staff is friendly. We recently had a family function in the back room and everyone had a great time. Food was served family style and the flavor was on point. Liz and her staff were very attentive, and we were not rushed to leave. This will be our go to place for many years to come.

Omg they call that food come on.Let's start with the hot sauce on the table it's tomatoe sauce with Tabasco sauce. Nasty. I ordered chicken mole did not taste like mole. The waiter was ruled and got mad when I returned the plate and said I did not like it and still charged it on my bill. Nasty food and will never recommend it to anyone.Never see me again.
