My brother Michael ordered cookies that were to be delivered on December 20th. He did not receive the cookies and when they took a picture of them it was not even his door. He looked at the shipping address and they had the wrong address. He called and a nice girl came out and brought him his cookies. She is the only reason for the 1 star. He tried to give her a 20 dollar tip a d she said she couldn't take it. Thinking he had been treated kindly by them, he got a phone call from a very nasty girl who's phone number is under the name Gino Mozzicato. This person accused my brother of double dipping and talked right over him explaining to her they were not even delivered to the right address. You have now lost our family as customers and all of our Italian friends and family that we will share this experience with. Shape up!!!!!!!!
Terrible, dry, lopsided cake. Do NOT order from here.

So my wife worked on a surprise birthday party for back in September. Unfortunately, I got sick the night before and the party had to be rescheduled. My wife called that morning about the cake and was told the cake needs to be picked up, but it could be frozen and just to be taken out two days before the new party date.
Well, we did just that... But when it was taken out, the fondont icing was running and made the cake unpresentable. When my wife called again, whoever answered the phone offered no help or even suggestions at all.
So my wife needed up just getting a cake that was presentable for the party and just cut the cake this bakery made. I didn't expect this bakery to be magicians given the situation, but not even offering to look at the cake to maybe suggest something was bad customer service.

October 2024 - Franklin Avenue in Hartford, CT was always one of the traditional streets to go to for authentic Italian food. Mozzicato Bakery upholds this status today in terms of their pastries.

The food , i liked it from ever since I visited the store , service was the best until I visited them last time , so here comes the issue … i visited the store on a morning to buy few things . I wasn’t sure of the cookies as it was my first time trying something other than cakes at the place … so i was trying to get singles for taste ( which i told i would pay for at the checkout ) the woman on front desk said you pay first and then you get to taste which was the policy ,, I agree… at the same some other customer was being attended and they got to pay at last option ,, i said i am hungry can i have them while you pack ( woman at front desk said it would take time ) she said “ no you have to pay first , if you want i can cancel everything “ which wasn’t the case for other customer … i guess thats their policy and I would never visit their place again

They overstock and sell foul cakes. If you buy 3 different items then one will be stale. So much for brand. Don’t buy from this fancy warehouse

My partner ordered a full sized tiramisu cake for my birthday and it came frosted in the white whip filling, which wasn't bad but it was too much and the espresso flavor was VERY weak. I never had any of their single serving tiramisu but it's not what I'd describe as a tiramisu. :( (oh btw, we put the paper cutouts on at home. That wasn't done at the bakery.)

They better count their days. I was mortified to bring this cake to a coworker that was Venturing off to a new journey in life. after I realized the misspelling and the improper grammar, I went down to speak to the manager, and they were so rude to me. They didn’t offer a discount. They were kinda in shock as well, but do not order cake from this place. They’ve messed up multiple cakes of mine.
I got a marble ricotta cake and it was very dry. No one at the party liked the cake! I called the bakery and spoke to Gina and she told me that is how the marble cake is supposed to be. She was very rude and condescending. I will never order another cake from them again!! You should definitely think twice before ordering a cake from them!!!
Food is always incredible and the service is wonderful. The cafe is cash only which can be a surprise if you aren’t expecting it but there’s an ATM across the street.
