Mozzicato Depasquale Bakery and Pastry Shop

I don't know what the hype behind this store is. We ordered 4 items and all 4 were really bad. Only meh item was the New York cheesecake. The I ordered chocolate mousse cream puff, and the chocolate mouse was hard like it was a cookie dough. Disgusting.

Mozzicato family has Italian pastry down to a science....I don't know how they do it...Great Sicilian clan

Don’t purchase cakes here, we purchased a cake here for my mom’s birthday and they put the cake in a box that was way too big. The cake slid and it ruin the cake design. Horrible experience never again. Customer service sucks here.

Old school Italian cafe. Joe and Rosa are amazing attendants. I enjoyed my cappuccino and my coffee with Bailey's immensely. My counterpart devoured the carrot cake. Always has been a neighborhood staple. The best fresh bread, decadent cakes and pastries and the smoothest gelati anywhere! Visit and tell em Kitty sent you. 😘

Great bakery, but they only have throwaway cups, so if you wanna sit and have a coffee there, it still comes in a plastic lined paper cup. When’s the world gonna wake up and realize this is not sustainable, not to mention it doesn’t taste the same.

I visited the Hartford location on 5/20/25.
I bought an almond cinnamon pastry. It was cold, obviously had been frozen or refrigerated. Not baked fresh that day.
I also purchased a spinach, potato and sausage stuffed bread from the display case,not refrigerated. I refrigerated the bread ant home and I ate a piece on 5/20, even though the spinach looked a bit slimy and congealed.My husband ate a piece on 5/21. He began vomiting from this food. It became apparent this stuffed bread was not fresh on 5/20! Fresh spinach bread lasts 3 to 4 days in refrigeration. Another FAIL.

Went there with my co-workers and had an amazing experience. Super friendly staff and amazing food.

My mom went here to the Franklin Ave location a while back. She wanted to order a cake and she was so shocked how mean and rude to her they were. She said it was like they didn’t even want to assist her they just wanted her out. They ignored her til she left. I love Italian pastries and this was her first time there so she was excited to go and tell me if the treats looked good so we can go back but that first and only experience made me never want to go there as a black women. Disappointed cause I’ve been looking for Italian lobster rolls and wanted to ask if they made them or knew of a place that did but I don’t think I’ll ever go to such hostile environment where I feel like I wouldn’t be respected.

My brother Michael ordered cookies that were to be delivered on December 20th. He did not receive the cookies and when they took a picture of them it was not even his door. He looked at the shipping address and they had the wrong address. He called and a nice girl came out and brought him his cookies. She is the only reason for the 1 star. He tried to give her a 20 dollar tip a d she said she couldn't take it. Thinking he had been treated kindly by them, he got a phone call from a very nasty girl who's phone number is under the name Gino Mozzicato. This person accused my brother of double dipping and talked right over him explaining to her they were not even delivered to the right address. You have now lost our family as customers and all of our Italian friends and family that we will share this experience with. Shape up!!!!!!!!

Terrible, dry, lopsided cake. Do NOT order from here.

This Bakery never disappoints. Been going here since I was a little girl. Everything is good. Service is also good.

So my wife worked on a surprise birthday party for back in September. Unfortunately, I got sick the night before and the party had to be rescheduled. My wife called that morning about the cake and was told the cake needs to be picked up, but it could be frozen and just to be taken out two days before the new party date.

Well, we did just that... But when it was taken out, the fondont icing was running and made the cake unpresentable. When my wife called again, whoever answered the phone offered no help or even suggestions at all.

So my wife needed up just getting a cake that was presentable for the party and just cut the cake this bakery made. I didn't expect this bakery to be magicians given the situation, but not even offering to look at the cake to maybe suggest something was bad customer service.
