We stopped here on a Saturday night for dinner on the last leg of our trek from Virginia to Boston. This restaurant did not disappoint. The bar section was full of locals, while the dining room was quiet and quaint. The staff are super nice. The food…omg the food was delicious! If I’m ever in Hartford again, I’ll be going to O Camelo again.

A very good place, especially for the price! Great food, lots of seafood options, staff is very friendly and helpful, big portions. One thing to be aware of: these dishes have A LOT of garlic. Maybe it's a Portuguese thing, I'm not sure, but I was surprised when I saw how much chopped garlic my dish had (I had shrimp and scallops with rice). It has a very Portuguese/foreign vibe and feels really nice: TV shows Portuguese soccer games, Portuguese music, it seems like most people there were regulars. I'd come back again but will ask for less garlic ;)

This restaurant is definitely a horror circus, my father has already had a situation where he was embarrassed in public with a cook, last week I went to eat a chicken sandwich, and the Brazilian woman got into a terrible argument with the man I believe to be the boss. If you want a quiet place, don't go there, because there's always confusion from the staff, and if the food is bad, don't complain because the cook might attack you.

Great Portuguese food. Enter as is common through the bar, but round the corner for dining room. If you are lucky there will be an order of octopus ?. Perfectly cooked.

I should know better when you walk in on a Friday night and there’s only two people in the restaurant that’s a sign They really need to look at the food they’re putting out

Poor quality food, and service. I know restaurants can have a miss days but this place is a miss the last 3x we been there.

The kitchen was closed but drinks, service, and atmosphere were superb.

Humble taverna with straight up good food and friendly service at extraordinarily reasonable prices. This place is a flashback to the days when you could go to your local tavern for a hearty meal and a neighborhood feel. I had a super good meal of spinach soup and beans transmomtana, consisting of succulent pork, beans potatoes, cabbage and se chorizo with a side of rice. Excellent...and enough for two. To top it off the house Portuguese red was dry and tasty...for $4 a glass. Highly recommend.

Love this restaurant it's like having your personal catering wait staff. Friendly, fun atmosphere and the food is out of this world! Portions are very generous and affordable prices. If you live Portuguese dishes, stop in and have a bite. Sorry no pictures this time, I couldn't help but dig into my meal when it arrived ?.
