I've been to other Capital Grille locations; decided to try this one. Visited on a Saturday evening. Ordered wedge salad and clam chowder as an appetizer. Both were good and consistent with food I've ordered at other locations. Dinner was tenderloin with lobster and seared tuna. Both were cooked well. Potatoes au gratin were quite good. Service I felt was average; dessert took quite a long time to come out unfortunately. Atmosphere is consistent among locations generally and this one was enjoyable and no different. Overall, this location was good and I would return.

The clam chowder delicious! The prime rib cooked to perfection and delicious at every bite. Loved the grapefruit soda too. The star of the show was the truffle fries. I am spoiled. Thank you for an amazing culinary experience.

Treat yourself and go here. It is a truly fine dining experience and never disappoints. As soon as you arrive it is apparent they know how to make guests welcome and delighted with their experience. Every detail from the bread basket with a variety of choices, to the elegantly salted butter is perfect. Favorites are the sea bass, fillet with fig sauce, the scalloped potatoes, and creamed spinach. Each menu choice is meticulously prepared and plated. Service is outstanding!!!! We have been here numerous times, typically before or after a show in Hartford. Definitely need reservations because everyone has the same plan. No matter how busy the staff make you feel as if you are their only customers- always attentive, personal, and make great suggestions.

I order a fillet and got a piece of top burnt on bottom round and not what I ordered. Scallop potatoes were horrible. I didn’t like their bread… too many different kinds. My husband’s drink was wrong. The salmon was okay but the sauce they put on the plat was too sweet. I have been to this restaurant many years ago and fell in love. It wasn’t the same. This was my daughter birthday and it flopped. I won’t be going back

This is my go to place for special occasions because I know the food will be excellent and as far as I’m concerned the best service I’ve experienced in any restaurant in CT. Has never disappointed me.

It's always a good experience at capital Grille, and always a nice vibe. My only recommendation is there horseradish is not as a kick as most places I've been to. I think it's been sitting around for a long time, but other than that their oysters were amazing but I usually like to eat some horseradish with my oyster to get the cake and that's not the case.

Always a good time at the Capital Grille. We usually camp out at the bar area for an hr before dinner. Drinks are great, wine selection is outstanding, I can only comment on the steak but it's always a winner.

we just ate there the other night and was very disappointed with the food and the service. I had the sea bass and it was cold inside and hardly cooked. the waitres was not on her game for sure. never came to ck on how our food food after we got it. very disappointed this time For the cost was not worth it at all

Typically, a great experience. We went the night of the Bocelli concert, struggled to keep up. 530 reservations, walked out at 7:45pm... and forced into eating entree in 10 mins. Concert shouldn't be the excuse, they are better than that. Book less reservations so you avoid guys like me putting them on blast. Max Downtown back to #1 in our book.
