Unique location. Good beer. Friendly staff.
This review is a part of my quest of visiting all CT breweries. I tried many of Kent Falls beers at beer festivals, but this was my first visit to the brewery.
It is located on a farm in a very quiet corner of the state. The taproom has a small indoor space and a big outdoor place with multiple seating options. No food is available and no snacks are sold. But they allow outside food and have a selection of trusted delivery places. Barry, who is one of the owners of the brewery, was pouring that day. And I had an interesting conversation with him right from the start. Not only I learned about the production of one of the rare beer styles, but he also provided many recommendations of beers to me. This was indeed a welcome experience.
There were 8 beers on tap during my visit. You can order a beer flight of 4 to try everything. For this review I tried all of them. These beers were such a good experience. While I cannot say that I loved each and every one of them, several beers were truly unique. I will give a shout out to Shucks (Pilsner brewed with oyster shells, slightly salty) and Petals. The latter one is fantastic - a Dandelion Ale that had me experiencing at least 3 layers of taste: initial sourness, sudden tartness and then a filling grainy aftertaste. While I usually don't enjoy sour ales much, this one deserves a lot of attention. I also fondly remember their Multiverse (Imperial Stout) from the beer festivals. I ended up buying several of their bottled releases just to try even more of their experiments.
This place is a must visit if you're (like me) in search of new beer tastes. Barry was really passionate about brewing unique beers and he nailed it. I will definitely be back.
Great place to go after hiking Kent Falls! The beer is always great and I love that they do the 6oz pours so I can try everything then buy a four pack of what I likes best!
Maybe the best brewery in state. Great staff, location and product!
Fabulous hidden estate, easygoing staff, Delicious selection
Something different about their beer. Clean, elegant, and sophisticated. I wish they allow dogs.
Had a great time talking to one of the members of staff about beer and trying out the beers. Thank you for the delicious beer and friendliness.
Fabulous atmosphere, fantastic people, wonderful beer
Stopped by their beautiful taproom and had some really excellent beers. Beautiful space, informative and friendly taproom manager. An absolutely excellent farm brewery. Would return whenever I can.
Well I wanted to like it ..nice atmosphere anyway. they only sell flights or tiny single beers. Mostly though I got 4 flat tiny beers ... And I couldn't finish two of them. The other two were about ok flavor albeit flat. So not good flat beers in tiny glasses with a nice barn & farm atmosphere

Not very friendly staff and beer is only OK. Not a great experience
Great beer! Great service!
Outstanding brewery. They do almost everything in house. So creative with all their beers.
Nice space and all beers we tried were okay. It on the list to come back in warm weather.
Very no frills brewery with some charm in a country setting. Had a flight and liked them all!
