I’ve been to Love Hearts Bakery before and have generally enjoyed the food, which is why this experience stood out to me.

When I walked in, a younger staff member took my order and was very friendly. Everything came out quickly and without issue. However, when I went to pay, a different woman—who I believe may be the owner—was at the register, and the interaction felt uncomfortable and abrupt.

She asked what I had ordered, and I told her a breakfast sandwich. As she rang it in, I could see on the screen that it was around $5.85. I then mentioned I also had a Dirt Bomb (a small muffin). At that point, she noticed I was pulling cash out of my wallet and asked if I was paying cash. I said yes, and she immediately said, “It’s $10 even.”

That didn’t seem right, so I asked how much the Dirt Bomb was. She said $2, which would have put the total closer to $8 range, not $10. I probably should have said that doesn’t sound right…
And she didn’t explain the difference, didn’t even finish ringing in the full order on the register, and simply put the cash in the drawer. I paid and left, but the interaction felt odd and has stayed on my mind.
I don’t mind paying for quality food, but transparency and professionalism matter. Unfortunately, this experience left me uncomfortable, and I probably won’t return based on principle alone.

And lastly the dirt bomb was a bit dry… so there’s that.

Overall she made the experience weird.

The atmosphere is interesting here. The service was also interesting. I had never been so I asked the woman at the counter what was good. She said it’s what I like. I said well I’m asking you what’s good because I’ve never been here. I told her I like everything. She continued to say it’s whatever you think you’d like. We went around in circles for a good 2 minutes before I ordered. Definitely an interesting experience to say the least.

The sandwich I got was fine but the place was not very clean. The table fan that's facing the kitchen is filthy with dust and dirt all over the fan blades. I'm surprised no one has cleaned it seeing is it's right in front of the customers. Service wasn't very friendly.

Love Heart’s is our go to for breakfast sandwiches; their English muffin bread, both regular and gluten free, is amazing. Their lunch salads are great too, and they even make custom gluten free and/or vegan cakes for special occasions. And the ladies who work there are super friendly.

Cute bakery/coffee spot with a wide range of sweet and savory breakfast treats. My breakfast sandwich wasn't cheap but it was huge and very good, served on their own bread. Reasonably fast and friendly service.

My friend and I went here today because we had never tried this bakery. We got yogurt bowls that came topped with fruit. Some of the blueberries on top of our yogurt bowls were moldy and shriveled. We also ordered lattes but mine was extremely hot (like scold your mouth off hot) and the milk wasn’t foamy at all but it had a good flavor. We also got a “girl bomb” which is a donut muffin. The one we had at the bakery tasted good but was very dry. Inside was a little dirty too but the staff were friendly.

Food is very good. With lots of vegan vegetarian or omnivore options. Some unique and interesting options too.
Small but quaint space. Fun signs on the walls!
Service was a bit odd. We had a group and after we had been there a while one person bought a soda. When we went to leave one of the workers asked him to pay for it even though he already had. She just said “I didn’t ring him out.” He pulled up his receipt on his phone and showed her but she still didn’t believe him and wanted him to pay again. Then the other worker came over and verified that he had already paid. She never apologized for accusing him of stealing.

Great place for a good meal on the run. Love the breakfast sandwiches, the donuts and other pastries. They are all very good.

Cozy spot for baking goods, sandwiches, granola and a cup of aromatic coffee. The service is exceptional.
