Discovered Bar Bouchée after Le Petit Cafe in Branford closed. This is now our favorite French restaurant to celebrate special occasions. The atmosphere is quaint, and love the staff. Our visit in September we ordered the Classic Escargots, Coq Au Vin, Gratin Dauphinois, and the Fricassée Of Local Mushrooms. Recommend making reservations for inside the main building instead of the attached expansion tent area. The kitchen has an open window which is lovely to see the kitchen...
Very nice find in Madison. Felt very French and the food was superb. We will definitely be back and I predict this will become our new "go to" special place in Madison. The celery soup appetizer was delicious. The main course I had was the Croque Madame with an egg - unreal how good! My wife had her absolute favorite, the Coq au Vin. She said it was amazing nearly with every bite! For dessert we had the profiteroles with warm chocolate sauce and melt in your mouth puff...
