Our sincere disappointed with both of our entrees brought our total experience to just fair. Cocktails were excellent, very good staff and very courteous, but the quality of the food, presentation of the food on the plate and value, brought our experience to a lower level than we expected and would have liked.

Food was overpriced for what it was. They do have a beautiful spot on the water but I'll be hesitant to go back

Good was great; deck was great. There was a group of women who were unfortunately too loud. Service wasn't as good as it usually is. It's still one of my favorite places, esp on the deck on a warm night.

Sat on the porch for lunch on a beautiful day. The food was very good. Service was attentive, but not intrusive. I would definitely go back, especially to enjoy the view and the atmosphere.

The setting is splendid. The service and food were not While I appreciate timely service over 2 hours to receive our orders is far from timely. Especially when someone that showed up after you gets served prior to you. My cassasoulet was dried and my companions food was cool at best.

Pan seared chilean bass $38.00 green lentils ragout, carrots, crisp, lemon brown butter sauce This is how the menu read, we received the lentils and the Chilean sea bass but no carrots when we asked the waitress she said she's been serving this and she's never seen it come with carrots she would check the menu no she came back and said that the chef is making us carrots kind of weird cuz we've been eating here forever and this has never happened before I don't know what the chef was doing but he definitely dropped the ball on that one

I had the pleasure of dining at The Wharf this weekend, and I can confidently say it's one of the best meals I've had in a long time. Nestled on the water , it's a cozy yet modern spot that's perfect for relaxing. The attention to detail in every dish was clear, and I loved that they used seasonal, locally-sourced ingredients. I'd highly recommend The Wharf to anyone looking for a memorable meal with top-notch service. Can't wait to return!

Restaurant was out of half of the menu. Said it was due to change of menu but was probably due to large event on the lawn.

If you are looking for a beautiful view, you definitely should dine outside on the porch at the Wharf Restaurant. If you are looking for really good food, don't go here. The food is average to below average and the prices are high.

Full disclosure: I am biased. I have many fond childhood memories of Madison, so I really wanted to love this place. We used to rent a house for the summer literally right around the block. I last ate at a previous incarnation of this restaurant back in the 1980s, and it was okay but not great, pricey because of its prime location on the water but nothing to write home about. Not so in 2025! I'm thrilled to report that it is now one of the best dining experiences I've had in the Madison area in years. The pork tenderloin, duck and clam chowder were all outstanding, the service was excellent, and oh that view! To cap it all off, very reasonable prices. Far too many restaurants charge a premium for the waterfront location but fail to deliver on the really important stuff. But these guys definitely deliver. So for the foreseeable future, whenever my travels take me through Madison, this will be my first choice for dinner.

The view!!!! Can't beat the view. Grassy strip concerts are so much fun. Often times during the summer concerts, the 2nd floor bar is open, overlooking the music, grass and water. Parking is tough but they have valet service. Did I mention the view?

This place is simply phenomenal. The terrace alone makes it unforgettable, with its magical view of the sunset casting colors across Long Island Sound. The play of light between the calm water, the vibrant sky, the green grass, and the beautiful beachfront hotel is breathtaking and makes every dinner feel like a special occasion.

The cocktails and wide selection of creative mocktails were a highlight, perfectly crafted and refreshing. The lobster roll was phenomenal, packed with flavor and freshness. The vegetarian cauliflower rice dish was outstanding, full of creativity and taste. Even dessert carried the same inventive spirit: a coconut mousse presented in the shape of a seashell, the perfect round-out to an already perfect dining experience.

On top of that, the service was flawless. Our waitress was friendly, attentive, and genuinely helpful, embodying true 5-star hospitality. From beginning to end, everything felt polished yet warm and welcoming.

I only wish there were more places like this along the beautiful Connecticut shoreline. But this one is for sure a gem.

We didn't make plans cor Labpr Day and decided last minute to try to get a table and Carmela the hostess was wonderful and got us great seats on the high rail. Our service was amazing along with the management team who came over to say hi. She even remembered us from last time we visited. Then the valet were so friendly. Love this hotel
