“We had such a wonderful experience at Joey’s Garlic! The food was absolutely delicious. We ordered the penne a la vodka, shrimp scampi, and fried calamari, and every dish was full of flavor. The portions were huge—definitely family-style! Honestly, one plate would have been enough for both of us, and we still had plenty of leftovers to enjoy at home. The restaurant itself has a beautiful setting with an industrial hipster vibe, warm lighting, and a fun flare that makes the atmosphere really inviting. Service was excellent—our server was both fast and friendly, which made the evening even better. For the quality and size of the portions, the pricing was amazing and very affordable. We truly felt like we got more than our money’s worth. We’re already looking forward to coming back and trying more of the menu next time!“

“This is really an update of a bad review that I had previously left, I wont go into details. But my last 4 visits were just great, food great, service great....I'm happy I came back because the whole experience was superb.....but that particular bad visit was horrible. Good job!!“

“Bartenders are messy, unorganized, and rude. They have lost bank cards, and given people the wrong cards back. They have no serving strategy to make sure all customers have been served, they kinda just look up and go to whoever happend to be across from them instead of making rounds around the bar. Very unprofessional. 5 stars just so this reaches and maybe makes a difference. Really truly enjoy the place otherwise but these bartenders ain’t it.“

The chicken and sausage carbonara is so tasty, and the portion size could feed three people. The wings were fried well, and I'm looking forward to trying other flavors. Overall, it's giving the perfect neighborhood takeout spot that will likely be my go to moving forward.“

“Typical bar/restaurant with rustic decor and limited seating. Pizzas are typical New Haven style. The specialty pizzas are unique and tasty. We ordered 3 large, with two of them half-n-half. The waitress made a mistake on one. So, although we agreed to eat it rather than wait for the correct one, it wasn't what we wanted. Not saying it wasn't good, just not what we wanted. No harm, no foul.“
