This place is a favorite of mine since childhood and one of my first stops when back in the area. Old-fashioned dairy bar. Have to try the Bernice original cheeseburger with the grill-fried cheese, fires and coleslaw. Great ice cream cones and sundaes, along with other diner classics.
Shady Glen Restaurant and Ice Cream Parlor is an experience of nostalgia from a simpler time. This 50s-style diner transports you back to a post WW2 era where the ice cream flowed in gallon containers and servers wore paper hats. Simply for the experience, Shady Glen is worth a visit.
