Great place for breakfast near UCONN. Omelets and home fries are always very good along with making their own bread. Enjoyed avocado toast with an sunny side up egg delicious.

Went there today and it was very busy so we sat at the bar. Ordered very simple breakfast order at 10:20. At 11:00 I asked if they knew how much longer it would be. The waiter was agitated I asked and said he would see. Waited another 5 minutes and our food arrived. I had ordered French toast and the toast was not dipped. I asked a waiter is this how the French toast comes and he said no it's not. The one side was completely dry. As I went to pay the bill the manager asked how it was and I said not great and showed him the toast. He said well she made it that way because you were in a hurry. So I said what? Because I asked how much longer it will be you get penalized? He said we can make you a new one and I said no thanks can you just take it off my bill since I didn't eat it. He told me he didn't like my attitude but he would and I said well I didn't like my food. He comped the entire meal (which I didn't ask for or want him to) and I walked out. So... I would suggest NEVER ask how much longer will it be because you will be served food that is made hastily and the management fully supported that. End of rant. My daughter liked her food, my sausage was good, coffee good. Just ridiculous that they would serve French toast this way and make the excuse that we said we were in a hurry( all I said was do you know how much longer after waiting 40 minutes after ordering). Disappointing as I heard great things

Average place, mediocre service. I would not recommend unless you’re on budget.

My dad and I thoroughly enjoyed our experience here. We sat at the bar and got to watch a dynamic duo slam out a very crowded breakfast in a methodical like fashion. Our server was attentive and friendly. Everyone had smiles even tho the place was literally packed with a wait at the door. Noone skipped a beat. And the food was great. I honestly liked the portions not being over bearing and feeling stuffed. And my dad loved the homemade peach jam. Thank you

This place is wonderful! 3rd time here & best breakfast. I had an early morning appointment near UCONN, and breakfast afterwards made perfect sense. Toast is close to the corner of 195 & 44. Clean and bright, open for breakfast & lunch. Good service. Cute salt & pepper holders on the tables (made from forks & spoons) Lots of UCONN pride in the place, as you can tell from the National Champion banners hanging on one wall. I'm a UCONN alumni as are 2 of our daughters, so felt right at home there. I had eggs, grits & their homemade toast. So good. I didn't take any pictures this time, but will next time, because there will definitely be a next time.

A decent little breakfast stop near the local collage. Great place for breakfast when dropping kids off to fill the belly before the 2+ hour ride ahead. They had breakfast for everyone. White egg omelet, chocolate chip pancakes, breakfast sandwiches, egg over easy, home fries, and more.Everything is tast. It does not surpass my favorite local place, but it is a very good service and a busy, decent atmosphere. Frank's hot sauce, pepper, and salt on the table held together in a neat little folder. While decafe ice coffee is not on the menu, I did get a cup of ice and a decade coffee.

Absolutely best place around for breakfast. We love the staff, owner is often there on the weekends and super friendly. Food is fast, consistent, and delicious. The only thing I would change is I wish they would offer some nice coffees, cappuccino and espresso and lattes. Would make this place dangerous!
