We had the most amazing service from Catalina, the food was the most amazing southern cooking I've had in a long time. The grits and gravy with the fried fish were beyond delicious. The music and environment and all the staff and even other customers were great and welcoming. The next time I'm in Connecticut I will surely stop by again.
Quaint restaurant with great soul food. We had the Sunday brunch and we were all satisfied. The waffles were fluffy with three full fried wings that were perfect, the Soul Bowl with whiting was perfect. We did ask for some hot sauce as we prefer spicy food. The cocktails were great. We've been to this small gem several times and we've never been disappointed. Shea was our server for brunch and she was kind and delightful. The DJ played great R&B music.
The food was delicious! I have to have gluten and dairy free food, so I tried the salmon, sweet potato fries and collard greens. The atmosphere was a great vibe, playing all the great music from back in the day! Service was excellent. My family enjoyed the whole experience.
