Yum!!!! My boyfriend and I just finished our to go lunch from here. While the outside may be a little strange at first, once you go inside you’re overwhelmed with delicious aromas and greeted by friendly staff. Food was fresh, hot and quick. I got the Al Pastor burrito bowl, my boyfriend got the Birria tacos, we shared a hibiscus Aqua Fresca. In total it cost under $35!!! So so delicious. Highly recommend. Great food and great staff. Will be coming back soon!Parking: Normal parking lot, very easy to park, lots of spaces.

Food was good and fresh. Clean place. Descent service. Would've liked to smell the food cooking in the back but we were also the only customers in there.

First and foremost, this place is easy to overlook, but don't! It looks like a residential home on the corner, but there is parking in the back and the entrance on the side. There is still a sign from a previous Mexican restaurant on the corner just after the Olympus Diner. I stopped in mid-afternoon for a late lunch and thoroughly enjoyed the beef, chicken and pork empanadas. They were light and crispy with tasty fillings and fresh toppings. I added the green chili sauce (which isn't very hot). It's a nice, cozy seating area on the inside and my server whom I believe is one of the family that runs Viva La Vida, was very friendly. I'd definitely like to stop in again and try some other dishes.

Loved everything about this cozy little spot. We tried their agua frescos at Middletown's July 4 event & sought them out for more mango agua frescos. The menu is traditional so we tried a little of everything. The chicken empanadas are amazing. Tender chicken and light and fluffy dough. My dinner mate loved the birria tacos. The tostada & tacos were both delicious. Cozy place that feels like someone's home like so many of the places we've been in Mexico. Def will be back.

Their food is great but their AIR CONDITIONER NEVER WORKS!!!!!! the hostess always has an attitude for some reason even if you smile at her. The waitresses gossip with the hostess and it's really uncomfortable. This place use to be a lot better.

We stopped here for a quick early dinner on our drive from NYC to Boston. It was super super good. Excellent Mexican food. They specialize in Birria but also omg the carnitas is so good! The other reviews suggested tacos and they were delicious. They also sweetly made a small kids quesadilla with cheese and chicken for my toddler and she loved it! Highly recommend for a pit stop along 84 since it’s right off the highway and parking is really easy!

Check your credit card statement. This place will fraudulently bill you for extra tip. Food was good, but I won't go back. Not worth the headache and wasted time & phone calls dealing with the fraud.

It's hard to find a good Mexican place that's on the authentic side, but this location is a pretty safe bet! I almost missed it as it is on the first floor of an unassuming, two family style house, but once found there was plenty of parking in back. The inside was colorful and festive. While small, it was just the right size for a take out/eat in location, and both the females working (chef and assistant) were very polite and helpful. But what about the food, right? Well, definitely no complaints there! My 6-year-old twins split a burrito bowl and still had some left over, even after sharing with my 1-yr-old too. My husband loved his hand rolled tortilla quesadilla, and my sopas were delish! The salsa was SOOO close to my all time favorite (from a different location that won't be mentioned here), making it my VERY close second favorite, and the guac was great too! Sadly, being towards the end if the night my friend got the last container, so we had to share. Speaking of, my friend loves her Mexican, and she was VERY happy with her tacos! Of course it makes sense, though, as they boast a taco award from last year on their counter! Overall: unassuming outside, cute inside, great food, great service.

The place was clean and smelled good. It was empty when I arrived. The service was good and the food was tasty. Out of all the items, the biria tacos were the best. The flautas could have been better. I would not consider this a full Mexican restaurant. it is more like a taqueria based on the food items in the menu.

Delicious food! Yummy tacos! We also enjoyed the Asada Fries! Great service! Almost missed the building--it's in a 2-story house/building. Definitely recommend.

Great service but listless food. Added in hot sauce but still tasteless food. Avoid if you want good Mexican.
