Viva La Vida

Yum!!!! My boyfriend and I just finished our to go lunch from here. While the outside may be a little strange at first, once you go inside you’re overwhelmed with delicious aromas and greeted by friendly staff. Food was fresh, hot and quick. I got the Al Pastor burrito bowl, my boyfriend got the Birria tacos, we shared a hibiscus Aqua Fresca. In total it cost under $35!!! So so delicious. Highly recommend. Great food and great staff. First and foremost, this place is easy to overlook, but don't! It looks like a residential home on the corner, but there is parking in the back and the entrance on the side. There is still a sign from a previous Mexican restaurant on the corner just after the Olympus Diner. Loved everything about this cozy little spot. We tried their agua frescos at Middletown's July 4 event & sought them out for more mango agua frescos. The menu is traditional so we tried a little of everything. The chicken empanadas are amazing. Tender chicken and light and fluffy dough. My dinner mate loved the birria tacos. The tostada & tacos were both delicious. Cozy place that feels like someone's home like so many of the places we've been in Mexico. Def will be back.
