Today my husband and I went to Rita's in Middlebury CT. The server a young girl was very rude. She didn't know how to make a sundae with two toppings. yikes she said Rita's wasn't an ice cream sundae kinda place. Told us to go to CARVELS. Really! We ordered a sundae w/one topping and a small cup for $15.14. So Rita’s is… ehhh okay. It’s definitely over commercialized in my opinion. The pricing is disgusting to see. To purchase two small Italian ices it cost me almost $12!! Personally I was shocked when I saw that, especially after going to a bakery in Hartford where I was able to purchase 2 small Italian ices as well as a large all for about $6!! Honestly the pricing needs work, they are just not good enough to warrant pricing like they have.

Love ritas locations. Highly recommend the galate with rootbeer ice and vanilla custard. This location only had vanilla, chocolate and twist custards, but some of the others have more custard flavors. But love it either way.
