Amici Italian Grill

I used to be a regular for many years, but after what I experienced on September 26th, I will never go to them again because of terrible service. I placed an order for my entire family for pick up and when I got home, I was missing a meal. I called back and they said they would refund me. A week goes by and I get no refund so I call back. They say they will refund me but now it’s been over two weeks and they still haven’t refunded me. They can keep that money because I’m posting this review and warning others of their bad service

Our waitress was excellent! Super friendly and attentive, answered all our questions, and she was taking plates as we went so the table never filled up. Our food came out fast and we loved everything! We had the stuffed mushrooms, the eggplant parm panini, and the penne amici. It was all delicious. The waitress even refilled my drink without me having to ask. The bread was so good but the real star of the show was the olive oil! It was so good I had to ask the waitress what brand they used. I wanted to take the bottle home! ( I didn’t lol). The prices weren’t bad. There was a good range from 13-20+ so really not bad for 2025. I’d love to come back and try more of their menu.

Having visited this restaurant in the past where everything was good, we were shocked at the abysmally poor food that was served. I have never been required to write such a bad review but I feel obligated to do so. The chicken marsalla used canned mushrooms, apparently used pre-processed coated chicken from a freezer that was so tough that a serrated knife was needed to cut it and it was almost impossible to chew. The sauce was thick and starchy and lacked any of the required wine flavor. The eggplant Parmesan had been left under A warming lamp so long that the sauce on the outside of the dish was stride and crusty. The meat ball had no flavor. One person ordered blue cheese dressing and was served creamy peppercorn for this person had a pepper allergy. No one finished their meals and rather than explain the bad food to the server, we were provided with take away carriers where the carriers were promptly placed in the trash outside of the restaurant. The bottom line is he would never recommend the restaurant in its present state.

DO NOT GO HERE!!! I ALMOST LOST MY LIFE AN HOUR AGO BY HAVING A 3 INCH PIECE OF METAL LODGED IN MY THROAT FROM THEIR GRILL CLEANING TOOL. THESE SCUMBAGS OFFERED ME A FREE DRINK FOR TURNING PURPLE AND ALMOST LOSING CONSCIENCENESS. I'M IN TALKS WITH ATTORNEYS CURRENTLY. THESE PIECES OF TRASH ACTED LIKE ME ALMOST DYING MEANT NOTHING TO THEM BUT A COMPTED DRINK!!! WARNING!!! BEWARE!!!🤬🛑

The food was amazing! The staff were courteous and polite, but they weren't overly friendly. The portions were great!

We held our baby shower here at Amici Italian Grill in November 2024 after talking to many different restaurants, breweries, and other venues in CT. Our hostess and planner extraordinaire, Alyssa, was beyond accommodating and helpful in adapting the space and experience to our requests. The food was delicious and the service warm, welcoming, and all around superb. If you’re looking to book a private event with great food, ambiance, and at a fraction of a cost of the competition, you will not be disappointed with Alyssa and the whole team at Amici.

Had a 60th birthday party with 25 people. They did a fantastic job for an afternoon dinner/party. Peter was our host and he was fantastic. He is very down to earth, accommodating, and just all around enjoyable hosting us for the afternoon. Would definitely do that again. A great way to get the family together.
