The oxtail taste like ketchup. Rice and vegetables were delicious. But the Oxtail could use some more efforts to get that Island authentic taste that we know oxtails to be. The protein should be the star of the dish not the sides.

I have been calling for over two weeks and they seem to be shut down or something. Loved the food here, but don’t go around closing time - I got more bones than actual chicken.

Make sure you order the brown stew “bones” and “mush” with beans....mmmm.... very salty! Also, expect bad customer service from the lazy women who works here. Just her attitude towards people alone makes me question whether she’s even practicing food safety????

First time in Middletown CT and saw Caribbean Flavaz, i was so excited to know a Jamaican Restaurant is here. I bought 2 oxtails and 1 curry goat... omg the server lady looked like she didnt want to be there and the food was horrible. Like... which Jamaican cant cook oxtails and curry goat? Sorry my people never again for Caribbean flavaz

Where do I begin? 1. The food is mediocre 2. The Woman who works there is “extremely” rude.... I can go on but I will stop because hopefully they will read this and implement changes that will improve the quality of the food and customer service.

Even thought the menu is limited due to the downturn in trade, the owner is very personable and pleasant. I lived in Jamaica for 6 years and always appreciate it when I can find authentic Jamaican food.. Will definitely be back even though it is 15 miles away from the Shoreline!
I ordered the lunch special with chicken curry. It was fantastic-the rice and beans were well seasoned and moist, the vegetables were well cooked and not mushy, and the chicken was fall-off-the-bone tender. For five dollars, it was an incredible value. I was also happy they had Ting (it's an uncommon soda, and very authentically jamaican.) The staff was friendly and helpful as well.

I ordered take out from here and when I opened the box at home the smell was disgusting. Food was at least a day old, and very "sour" (I didn't realize the microwave sounds I heard in the store was my food!). I had to throw it out because just the smell made me sick. When I called them about it they would not refund my card.
