We used Caribou Smokehouse for a funeral catering ,and everything was great from the food to the politeness and professionalism of the owner.Cannot say enough about the cornbread and Mac-N-Cheese.Everyone at the gathering loved the food also.We highly recommend them and are referring them to all our friends.

I wanted to try something new for a Corp Lunch and I saw Caribou Smokehouse Catering pop up and wanted to try them out, and I am so glad I did! They are nowhere near us and traveled over 40min to deliver which is incredible! Know what else is incredible? The food!! So much so we used them back-to-back both days for our conference. I asked if they could make wraps, they made wraps. I asked them if they could make a taco bar, so they made a taco bar. People keep asking where I got this food and how incredible it was. Someone said it was the best chicken taco they have ever had. When people are sitting in meetings all day, food is so important. This food made everyone so happy and full. We don't go into the office anymore but when we do have larger meetings i already know who I'm going to use... Caribou Smokehouse! The food is amazing, but so it the family that makes it. They are SO CURTIOUS, professional and kind. Its really hard to find that quality in people and businesses these days. I highly recommend you support them as well!

Brisket was tender but fatty. Slapping bbq sauce on slow cooked meat does not make it bbq. No smokey flavor found at Caribou Smokehouse.

I’ve been here a couple times and really want to like this place, but they have some of the most random hours of operation. Unlike the hours posted on their door, I have pulled up quite a few times over the last few months where they’ve been closed by 615, sometimes 7 o’clock, or even 7:30 PM. What restaurant closes this early and on busy days (i.e, fridays, Saturdays, etc) at that? Like I said, their food is absolutely delicious, however, I just wish they had more stable hours of operation.
Walked in on a random weekday. Extremely friendly service. Decent prices. The smoked brisket dinner platter was on point. I’d recommend dropping by this spot for some good eats.

Wow! My husband and I decided on a whim to stop by this place and are so glad we did. Best BBQ we've had in a longgg time, hands down. You can tell how much love goes into it. Pictured is the pulled chicken mac and cheese and the j*** chicken, both packed with flavor. The cornbread is my personal favorite I have ever had! The ultimate comfort food made by a truly sweet and passionate family. Middletown needed this! Now we have a favorite go-to.

The food is well presented and attentively prepared. Caribou is nested in a great location in Middletown, CT with lots of parking. The interior is beautiful decorated. I'm happy to have dined here.

This was the worst food I’ve eaten in Middletown. First, our bag was dirty and the nachos were leaking all over the place. The mac and cheese looks as if it was sitting on a burner all day, it was hard as a rock and inedible. The nachos are a disgrace to the word nachos. The cheese was from a can and they sprinkled real cheddar on it to make it seem as if they used real cheese. It wasn’t even melted. Says it comes with jalapeños there was 2 tiny slices on the entire dish. Food looked nothing like the pictures. The chicken wings had zero flavor and came with no dipping sauce as stated online. Save your stomach and go anywhere else!
