Creamy rich ice cream. Great portions. Great prices. Cute place to enjoy. Dog friendly. Kiddie size is more than enough for an adult.
Smalls are huge!
But I wish they would change up their flavors.
Non chocolate, peanut butter and fruit types are bland and need a flavor immersion pop. The menu needs to add more flavors or change them up.
The ice cream is great! I love to support local, but the sllooowwww service needs to change! Two girls at the window, moving very slow, with no care in the world! The owner, outside talking to an obvious friend that is in line, not stopping to say I should go inside and help. We waited about a half hour to just get to the window to order, and there was only three people in front of us.
Best ice cream my favorite is Cherry Almond Chunk OMG chunks of cherry’s and chocolate chunks in almond ice cream. Absolutely delicious just wish the would have it more often.

Based on the reviews, Rich Farm Ice Cream in Middlefield is a great little spot for ice cream. The shop is adorable with a cute and inviting atmosphere, offering plenty of parking and picnic tables to enjoy outside. It is also dog friendly. The staff is patient, courteous, and efficient, and the prices are reasonable.
The ice cream itself is creamy and rich. The vanilla with rainbow sprinkles is an absolute masterpiece, with insanely creamy vanilla that tastes like real, deep vanilla bean. The rainbow sprinkles have a perfect, satisfying crunch. The limited time root beer flavor was good, with a consistency almost like an Italian ice. The non-dairy ice cream is the best ever, being very creamy. The portions are great; the kiddie size is more than enough for an adult, and the smalls are huge. However, some flavors like non-chocolate, peanut butter, and fruit types are bland and need a flavor immersion pop. The menu could use more flavors or changes. This is the best damn ice cream ever, and a "must-do" when visiting Connecticut.
