“This is the best (if not only) place in the New Haven, CT area to get authentic Levantine food, including / especially toum. Eating here brings me back to past vacations in Lebanon and the incredible food and company I enjoyed there; for those that prefer other cuisines, this place has you covered as well! Pizza, pasta, the full gamut of Mediterranean food!“

“The food is incredible, enough said. I ordered the spicy fried chicken sandwich combo. This is the best sandwich I’ve had in a long time. The chicken was crisply fried, fresh, and well seasoned. The sandwich itself was not greasy and perfectly put together. I also ate a delicious Oreo cake which I recommend that everyone orders for dessert. The restaurant owners were very friendly and helpful. Please ignore all negative reviews.“

“Absolutely love this restaurant! The staff is super friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable. Santana helps pick the BEST dishes!! The environment is cozy, chill, and relaxing — it’s just a place to go when you want some good food and a calm night! Now the FOOD is FIVE STARS!! Never had an issue and I’ve been here many, many times. Always cooked to perfection. The dessert is yummy and their special coffee is the best I’ve ever had… If you have never been, don’t walk, but run… (:“
“It’s a Halal meat and grocery shop. It’s also a Mediterranean where Turkish and Egyptian food is served. We ordered lamb chops and two dishes from their appetizer menu. Food was good and quality of mutton was excellent. We had desert and Turkish coffee. It was great experience. Highly recommended.“

“My husband and I ordered online and were pleasantly surprised by both the price and how great the food was! The service was excellent as well. We had to call to add a few items to our order, and the person who answered was friendly and very helpful. Overall, a great experience—we will definitely be returning customers!“

“Whenever I am in town I always make sure to get falafel over rice from here at least once. Its so yummy, saucy and optional spicy. Definitely try rice platter i would say. There are plenty seating available too for dine in. Staff is sometimes rude and non welcoming but not too bad.“

“AMAZING ! BEST SPOT IN TOWN !
I’m traveling for work so I have to eat out everyday, I’ve found my go to place ! I’ve tried like 8 things on the menu.
1. The Gyro, very good, very filling & worth every cent ! Ask for extra white sauce.
2. Mixed over rice ! Probably the best thing on the menu next to the chicken wings. Truly is just gas !!!
3. Hot wings, juicy, crispy, flavorful ! WORTH EVERY CENT !
4. 2 piece Fish, pretty good, not my favorite but isn’t a disappointment at all.
5. Seafood salad, BEST SIDE !!
6. Cheeseburger is hella good too, worth the $6, I’ve got that twice.
SO OVERALL, mixed over rice, hot wings, or gyro over pita are my highest recommendations !
Oh, & the salad is good too !
Next time I’m gonna try the butter chicken

“I had an amazing experience at Dave’s Hot Chicken, and a huge part of that was thanks to Ryan. From the moment I walked in, Ryan brought nothing but great energy, professionalism, and top-tier customer service. He was friendly, patient, and made sure my order was exactly right, all while keeping a positive vibe even during a busy rush.
It’s rare to see someone who genuinely cares about the customer experience, but Ryan definitely does. He went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect, and that kind of service makes you want to come back again and again. The food was fire as always, but Ryan’s attitude and attention really took the visit to another level.
Dave’s Hot Chicken is lucky to have him, give that man a raise. I’ll definitely be back!“
