We enjoyed our meals and the service was great. You'll receive a full helping of whatever you order and it comes with either a salad or pasta.

Literally almost half the menu wasn’t available, tried to order gnocchi, couldn’t. My friend found aluminum in her pork chop meal. $8 for two empanadas that weren’t even that good (I can get better for like $2 each elsewhere). I asked for beef empanadas, waitress said let me check if we have it and tell you, did not tell me just served me chicken empanadas that I didn’t want. Also this is supposed to be Italian fare but there’s a Spanish menu being introduced? That mind you, they don’t have the ingredients for that either basically. I was told they didn’t have risotto because it didn’t sell well… could it be you guys just didn’t make it well? Something else on the menu had the same excuse. Things blacked out on the menu but when you order he things not blacked out, you’re told they don’t have that either. Also, super cold in there, seating arrangement weird where unless in the farthest corners of the room, you feel the cold from the door every time it’s opened. And hardly any compensation. We tried to be nice in asking about and the waitress kinda laughed it off. We didn’t try again and just stopped ordering. My friend had something spicy that wasn’t advertised as being spicy at all. And the compensation for the pork chop and long waits? $2.60. I’m not sure if we came on an extremely bad day or something because they had a 4.6 before this rating. But it seemed like it was probably a regular occurrence since the waitress seemed relatively unfazed and unapologetic. Don’t get me wrong, she was nice. But the customer service was lacking all over the place. First time in her life my roommate never left a tip.

This was my first time dining at Casa Nostra. I'm Italian and pretty fussy when it comes to italian food. My dinner was excellent! I always say, if the bread is good, usually so is the meal. Very true here. The bread was sliced italian bread served warm and slightly toasted with choice of butter or olive oil. Very good bread! I ordered the fusilli pasta with sausage and broccoli rabe and forgot to tell the waitress that I wanted my pasta aldente....there's nothing worse than overcooked pasta. The pasta was cooked to perfection and so was the broccoli rabe! It was very flavorful with the crumbled sausage. Portion size was good too. Next time I will be sure to try a dessert. I will definitely be going back!

We went to this place with friends who recommended it . It is a really nice restaurant with very good food. Very friendly staff and the chef. Just a little confusion with the name of the restaurant.

Giving one star for the decor. Food is absolute disappointment. Non of this dishes we shared were good. It’s a shame. Another fail in Trumbull.

Not sure it even warrants 3 stars. Went for lunch; got the "prix fixe" special. Choose one app, entree and dessert from select menu. Chose caesar salad (menu specifically stated that the dressing was made in house); eggplant parm, and tiramisu. I received a caesar with total institutional dressing (thank goodness there wasn't much of it!), and CHICKEN parm. I waited forever for the "waiter" (he was the owner as well as chef) and finally was able to return the chicken. It had come with a small side of penne. When I received my meal (my friend gaf already finished hers), I did have tasty eggplant parm but I also had my original pasta recycled onto my plate. I know this because my grated cheese was still on it AND there was a small piece of the chicken parm mixed in... now if pasta is MAX $1/box, and you can get a dozen small portions out of it for about 8 cents a plate, WHY WOULDN'T you put a fresh serving on the "new" plate??? I could not have been more disappointed. And since I wasn't offered the chicken parm (that I didn't order) to take home as a courtesy, was it thrown away? Or (as I see it) was it, too, recycled? Scary to contemplate.... When I received my tiramisu, I tried it (as did my friend) and we both found it inedible. When the waiter came back, we handed him the plate with a "thank you"; he asked if we enjoyed it. Since it was basically all still there, he could tell we didn't like it, but we told him anyway that we didn't care for it, and he acted as if we had insulted him. No regard for our thoughts on the product...or, for that matter, no regard for us as patrons- just wanted to keep telling us to return soon since he'd be reopening under a new name...NOT!!

I moved to Newton a year ago. I've driven by this establishment several times, but the name put me off to be honest. Well, Don't judge a book by its cover!! Excellent food and staff!! Will not disappoint!!

Love this place! Good food and friendly service. Very reasonable prices.

Anything less than a 5 star review is literally ridiculous. I live down the road and my family are all Italian not to mention chefs in the industry. The ravioli are incredible, the service is excellent, and the appetizers are perfect.

Brothers is a great spot for family meals. We've used them on several occasions to fill in for those nights where we have no idea what to eat. Great product for a great price.
