We had dinner at Flames recently and the food was absolutely excellent. Every dish we tried was delicious—clearly made with care, and the kitchen deserves serious praise.
Unfortunately, the service didn’t match the quality of the food. While the all-male staff was efficient, they lacked warmth and personality. For example, my mother mentioned it was the birthday boy’s dinner, and the server responded with “What do you want to order?”—no acknowledgment, no “Happy Birthday,” nothing. That’s a small gesture that goes a long way, and it felt really dismissive.
We also felt rushed—someone started clearing the table while I was still eating my appetizer. That kind of vibe can really take away from the experience.
Bottom line: The food is outstanding, but the staff could really benefit from customer service training and a reminder that hospitality isn’t just about getting plates on the table. It’s about making people feel welcome, especially when celebrating something special.

Food was decent. Service was ok but could have been better. I had to keep asking for things like basic utensils. My dessert came out without a spoon. Several people had to ask for drinks individually instead of the waiter asking everyone at the same time. The worst part was everyone getting their steak well done when most of us asked for it to be done medium rare.

Food is inedible. Everything we ordered tasted like it was rotted. Will never go back again. Don't bother the help or the owner. Everyone there is rude,uncouth,and obviously doesn't really care if they every see you again. If you're driving down route 25 ,keep going .don't stop here
Frequently attend as it's on the way home. Their double cut chop is always goid.

We live in Florida and while in Connecticut we have been to Flames on multiple occasions and are never disappointed. The menu is varied but not overwhelming, and each choice we have made has been exceptional. The flavors of each food on the plate complement each other, and the dishes have been beautifully presented. Additionally, the staff have all been attentive and professional. It is obvious the owner and chef take great pride in creating their menu as well as both regular plates and specials We highly recommend Flames.

Great service. We absolutely loved the food, the appetizers were beyond delicious. Everything extremely well seasoned and the attention to detail was everything! The spicy margarita was also a perfect balance of everything and Georgina’s wine recommendation was just perfect, and I now have a new favorite! The atmosphere was also nice and classy. Would recommend.
