Today my wife and I stopped into Jennie's Pizzeria for some late lunch. We entered the bar area. There were no seats at the bar because they were all taken by what appeared to be regulars, they all knew one another. Several others were standing, blocking the way to small tables across from the bar. As we tried to walk to one of these tables we were blocked by the senior citizen regulars who did not move. They would not move for my wife and only did after I spoke up and said very loudly "excuse me". They were not happy and copped an attitude but moved slightly so we could get through. It was very unwelcoming and profoundly cliquey. Sad they have to have a clique at their age. We sat down and it took forever for the one barmaid to come over. She was constantly being called by one of the regulars at the bar to get them more drinks. We ordered and the food took a while to arrive. It was good so no complaints there. The problem with this place is the clientele during happy hour. They are Senior citizens who are rude, cliquey, unfriendly to other patrons and frankly a sad bunch if all they have to do is hang out in a bar everyday to drink. Later a young waitress, who was cute came out and was met with comments from one of the older regulars at the bar. She had to walk around several patrons who did not move to let her pass with food. These people acted like they owned the place and were not happy outsiders invaded their little drinking party. As a result of all this we will never go there to eat again. There are plenty of other places which serve the exact menu close by.

Waited an hour for the pizza to be ready, it stuck to the box cause there wasn’t paper in between, cheese and sausage literally fell off the pizza, like all that was left in my hand was the dough once all the toppings slopped off. Dull dry crust, only thing slightly good is the flavor. It was cooked awful and the large is tiny.

Yesterday on Oct. 4th I celebrated my 89th birthday with my family at Jennys and everyone had a wonderful time. Ten different meals were served and each was a delicious success. Three cheers to the chef. The servers were attentive, kind, patient and extremely professional.
What made it more special it that I was born in 1935, the year that Jennys was founded. Thanks to all for making it a day that will be long remembered.

A hidden ? food was excellent, as well as the service. I was in a private room event, the bathroom was clean, and the parking was good.

We order out from Jenny’s regularly and the food is excellent and reasonably priced. But that is not what trigged this review. .

As for the main dinning room, service is inconsistent, and the acoustics are terrible. Something needs to be done to absorb sound and prevent it from reverberating off all the hard surfaces.

We will stick to take out going forward.

Jennie’s! Their private room was very nice, intimate and away from the restaurant side. The atmosphere was welcoming and the service was very attentive. Hands down the best penne ala vodka I’ve had! I will certainly go back for more!!

I picked up my 17-year-old stepdaughter from getting her nails done around 6:45 PM on Tuesday, May 28th. I took her to get pizza at Jennie's for takeout. We pulled up to the front of the establishment and she got out of the car to go order her pizza. I noticed that she looked uncomfortable in the store. (for whatever reason all teenagers are awkward around each other until the ice is broken) seeing my child's discomfort I go inside to help her order. I already know what kind of pizza she likes so I tell the teenager taking my teenager’s order “Pepperoni, sausage, and onion small pie”
I immediately return to my vehicle. My daughter comes out and says “they said 20 minutes “ I took her home and came back out because I had errands. I get to Jennys pizza 30 mins later and the pizza is still not done. No problem. The police come in to jennys 15-20 minutes of my additional waiting. The employee immediately hands me my little 10” pie and I'm on my way. I get in my car to leave and second squad car pulls up and instructs me to pull over. Apparently someone from Jenny’s staff called the police and stated that my daughter was in distress while ordering and I look like I was arguing with her at their establishment. That's right, they held my 10”Pepperoni, sausage, and onion small pie until the police showed up.
Let’s be clear my stepdaughter and I do not look alike. I am of African-American decent and my stepdaughter is of Asian descent, but I take care of that child like she’s my own. that’s how I know she was in distress when she was ordering & that’s why I came in to help her. To assume the worst of me because the way I look is one thing. For someone to call the police on a father trying to help his child order a pizza is disgusting, egregious, uncultured, poor judgment, followed by poor management. Because this teenager and I don't look alike doesn't mean we are not family. I have 16 years currently in Law enforcement and I know when I've been profiled. Thank you Jennie’s staff and management for the experience. I won't forget it. Psalm 139 O Lord, thou hast searched me and known me.

It was a very pleasant atmosphere. The portions were a nice size portion. The prices were a little high but worth it. The waitress was very friendly and took care of all our needs. I highly recommend this place

The only place in town (Monroe, CT).. that serves individual slices at $2.50 plus tax (totaling to $2.70). The pizza slices are really tasty and a decent price. I was craving a slice all week and ended up getting a slice each day a few days in a row this week.
