Very disappointed , food took over an hour to get , they gave me chicken when I ordered veal , when I said something they disagreed with me . I know chicken from veal . There short ribs is pot Roast , when asked the waiter told us they microwave it in a bag , cut open and put on plate . Sounds like they get from Costco sure tasted like it my wife said ! Don’t order !!!
Wine was good and appetizer fried artichokes were good too .
I don’t think I’ll be going back anytime soon !!!

I treated my mom here for her birthday. She loves Italian food, so I searched “best Italian near me,” and this was one of the few nearby places we hadn’t tried yet. I don’t know what we were waiting for — it was an excellent experience.
Our waiter was extremely friendly and helpful. He was very attentive to my mom’s mushroom allergy and helped make alterations to her dishes so there wouldn’t be any issues. He brought us sparkling water and bread, then gave great drink recommendations. My mom had an Aperol spritz and I ordered the What-a-Peach. My cocktail was one of the best I’ve had — perfectly peachy without being candy-sweet. The Aperol spritz was nice as well, and both drinks were a good size.
For an appetizer, we had the burrata. It came with two balls of burrata, a generous amount of prosciutto, and two large pieces of bruschetta. It was a good size for the two of us but would have easily worked for 3–4 people. For entrées, I had the tortiglioni salsiccia piccante, and my mom ordered the pappardelle with short rib (sans mushrooms), plus a side of broccoli rabe. All the dishes were generously portioned — we had a little pasta leftover and a lot of broccoli rabe. The sides are apparently family-sized.
My pasta was amazing. You could tell it was freshly cooked, and they were generous with the sausage and added a big dollop of ricotta. The short rib pappardelle was very rich, and the short rib practically melted in your mouth. The broccoli rabe was cooked well, though I felt it could have used a bit more garlic.
Even though we were very full from the heavy pasta dishes, we had to order dessert to celebrate. Unfortunately, they were out of their special dessert that day (an apple crostata), so we went with the crème brûlée. It was clearly fresh, with the sugar crack on top still warm. The top was perfectly done; however, the custard itself lacked a bit of flavor.
Overall, everything was very good, and the pricing was fantastic for the quality of food and service. My mom said she felt this was one of the best Italian restaurants in our area.

Food is amazing here. All the servers i asked about their favorite, and all of them said a dish, but with vodka sauce. So I just got the penne vodka with chicken. The best vodka sauce I've ever had.

Second time here. Great ambiance. Fra DIavlo, sub par. Daughter ordered scallops and shrimp alla vodka. Scallops were like rubber. Vodka sauce no taste. others ordered sausage and broccolli rabe. A bit greasy and no flavor
Won't go back

What a gem! Food and service were super the evening we went. Staff couldn't have been friendlier and helpful. I felt that we were cramped, but it was just before the end of year holidays. We will certainly be making move dinner reservations here!

Newish (last 18 to 24 months) owners didn’t miss a beat with this local go to Italian. Easily passed all important “chicken parm” test and the fresh roasted garlic within the side dish of pasta was a simple but high quality “touch”. Service is always responsive and seating is comfortable and roomy. Prices are “fair” with food quality excellent. I’ve been with my family, a group , as a couple and as a solo at the bar; each time worth the visit.
A perfectly divine lunch for a beyond reasonable price! Delicious bread and oil to start. We chose from the price fixxe lunch menu and were impressed! Great portions and delicious food from soups and salads to the desserts!! Very friendly staff and comfy, cozy atmosphere!!
Only rating the food because we always take out from here. But the food is quite good. Very solid Italian place.
Very good menu which includes an alternative prix fixed lunch menu. The prix fixe includes a good variety of offerings. Large portions, fresh ingredient. The waitstaff is very attentive, pleasant and efficient.

Hands down our go to any day for Italian food. I've tried so many meals, all delicious. Their sauce, phenomenal. Overall favorite dish is their chicken milanese. Though I'd be remise to not shout out their chicken parmesan, Romano or Garganelli.
We had a nice family dinner here last night to celebrate a birthday. My mother-in-law was paying so I didn't really pay close attention to the prices. However, it is overpriced. Entrees did not come with either rice, potato or vegetable, so I ordered a side house salad with my meal which was $11. I will say that the food and service were fabulous.
Can't say enough good things about our recent experience with Nostrano's Italian Eatery! We recently hosted a"Celebration of Life" in honor of my husband and everything was wonderful. The menu of choices was extensive, the tables were set up as we requested, the owners and staff were very attentive, and the food was amazing. Our guests had nothing but compliments. We couldn't have been treated better. If you are looking for a venue, for a special occassion, please consider Nostrano's. You will never be disappointed. Joan Briglia,Newtown,CT.
