This brewpub is inside an old bank in downtown Mystic. If you're in Mystic, you won't miss this beautiful and grand building. It used to be a bank in the 1800s. I'm a sucker for historic architecture so this is awesome.
They brew their beers in house and also offer beers from other places. There also have wine and seltzers for the non beer lovers. I am a fan of sours so I had one of their sour beers (forgot the name) it was okay, it was extra sour, too sour. My husband enjoyed their IPAs. Also, we had some house made potato chips and a hot dog. Those were decent; I just wished they offered a dip for those chips! Hummus or something like that?
We sat outside on a balmy June day. They had a few tables and our server was great. It's a nice spot to people watch too. Inside was large and spacious. There was a long line to the restrooms though, popular place. Overall, a cool space for some drinks and snacks; I definitely would go back and try out more food and beers.
Great selection of beers, mixed drinks, mocktails and even food! Pretty awesome ambiance in an old bank...love the idea! Took a little bit to get a waiter but once we did, he was helpful and friendly. Definitely a nice addition to downtown Mystic.
Initially looked like a cute spot with some nice food selections. However, we had to wait an hour for a grilled cheese, pretzel bites, and a chicken sandwich. The grilled cheese wasn’t melted upon receiving, the pretzel bites had minimal to no flavor. The “Diet Coke” given was some off brand bottled soda with Splenda and no carbonation. Staff looked confused and frazzled majority of the time. Overall, disappointing experience. Would not recommended.
Building is nice. Food was ehh and service was terrible. First and last time visit.
Great start to July 3rd …
Stop at the Bank and had a great deposit of libations for myself and two friends…
Both Jake and Colby were inviting and fun…
Cocktails were perfect …
Lots of fun and smiles for a 5pm start to the rest of our evening…
Should have ten stars option for a place like this. Stopped in on vacation expecting to grab a beer, stayed for 2 hours and had an absolute blast. Colby, the bartender, made it feel like home away from home. Extremely beautiful place that was an old bank and has turned into comfort hang-out. I don’t leave reviews often, but trust me, if you’re in the area, just give it a shot.
beer was ok, cider was good. not to crowded.
Our server Julie was amazing. Really great selection of beers, friendly staff and the food was really great
Bank & Bridge Brewing: Big Potential, Uneven Execution
This place has all the bones of a standout brewery—a cool old building, a central location in Mystic, and a laid-back, welcoming vibe. But for us, Bank & Bridge Brewing didn’t quite pull it together where it counts.
We sampled several beers and ended up with Loco Los (a New England IPA) and Transdimensional Pterodactyl (a Double IPA). Despite the fun names, the beers were pretty underwhelming. Drinkable, but nothing we’d go back for. The flavor profiles just didn’t pop, and in a region full of great breweries, that matters.
The space is what first catches your eye—it’s housed in a former bank, complete with a visible vault and high ceilings that give it a bright, open feel during the day. But once you're inside, the design and décor feel like a missed opportunity. There's an odd mix of furniture and clutter that gives the place a slightly disorganized, restaurant-in-transition vibe. The bank vault could’ve been a fun centerpiece, but it ends up feeling more like a forgotten corner. With a little more polish and cohesion, the space could really shine.
To their credit, the overall atmosphere is relaxed and inclusive, with a crowd that feels local and easygoing. It’s definitely LGBTQ-friendly, and it’s nice to see an environment without the beer-snob energy you sometimes get elsewhere.
Service was friendly and helpful when available, though a bit scattered. Staff seemed preoccupied getting ready for a Pride event that evening—great to see that kind of celebration happening, but it did lead to a few guests waiting longer than they should’ve.
Bottom line: we love the idea of Bank & Bridge Brewing, but the experience didn’t quite measure up. With stronger beers and a more intentional use of the space, it could be a real destination. Here’s hoping they get there.
Amazing food and great customer service from Colby 🤩

Amazing beer and great vibes! Live music is always wonderful
The drinks are pretty good. However, the same cannot be said for the salt and vinegar fries 🤢. It's almost like they were coded in some kind of breading? I asked one of the staff about it and they said that's how they're supposed to look... I ate about two fries and I threw the rest away.
Tried the pumpkin cider it was really good. I will definitely come back to try other drinks
Inedible food. Haven’t been there since they opened. At that time the food was amazing. Now the salads are premade and served in a plastic container with the chicken chunks microwaved in a bag that one pours on. The hamburger was inedible. The meat tasted rotten. I ate one bite but still cannot get the taste out of my mouth. Will NEVER go back there again. So sad to see a restaurant become a bad beer bar.
Bank & Bridge was the BEST place in Mystic for our wedding after party! Maggie was awesome to work with and super helpful in the booking process. She answered all of my questions, was flexible when I didn’t have all of the answers, and helped me tailor the booking to exactly what we were looking for with an after party experience. Colby was the bartender that night and made sure our guests had the BEST time. We had wings, chicken fingers, and fries that our guests devoured. A lot of them claimed having that food at the after party was the reason they didn’t have a bad hangover the next day. We had the whole venue to ourselves and were able to play our own music the whole night. Colby even helped kick out people who were trying to crash the party. I already loved this venue before after having our after party there, but now it will always have a special place in our hearts as our final destination for the best day ever.
