First visit… definitely not the last. From the minute we walked in we felt like royalty. The simple appetizers were delicious and elevated by their unique presentation and flavors. The cocktail menu was over the top while our server, Alex, made sure we had everything we needed. Highly recommend.

Came here twice on our weekend trip to Mystic because everything was just so good! The drinks were creative and well thought out. The bartender Steph was very passionate and knowledgeable about each drink on the menu. It was a pleasure to get to speak with her, and I highly recommend visiting for an elevated cocktail experience with amazing service!

The service was excellent — our server was attentive, friendly, and very knowledgeable. I’d give her five stars without hesitation. Unfortunately, the rest of the experience didn’t live up to the same standard.
The food was a hit or miss. The ham with bread was delicious, but the swordfish was a big disappointment. It tasted like it was fried in old oil, and even though the meat itself wasn’t awful, the portion was tiny — not nearly enough for one person, let alone two (we got the “2 for $62” option). It came with just some lettuce and onions, so you’re likely to leave hungry.
As for drinks, this place prides itself on unique cocktails, but the two I tried were not for me. One was extremely sour, and the other had strong, odd spices that didn’t seem fitting for a cocktail. Thankfully, our server was kind enough to let me swap one out for a more traditional drink.
The atmosphere was also lacking. The space is very small, with tiny tables and a loud, cramped room. Add to that a menu full of obscure ingredients and complex descriptions — unless you’re very familiar with world cuisines, it can feel overly pretentious and hard to navigate.
Overall, I found it overpriced, underwhelming, and not somewhere I’d return to or recommend. Sorry!

We had a quick bite next door at the oyster bar, which was great (fresh oysters, an amazing chowder) then had a 9:15 reservation for dinner at Port of Call. The difference in experience at these 2 restaurants was wild.
We were sat by the door near where there was live music. There was a $10 cover for a live jazz band that we didn’t know was going to be playing when we booked. This band was LOUD, this was the loudest restaurant I have ever been in. When our server came over they basically had to yell on our ears and I still didn’t hear a single word they said.
It was too late to find another place to eat so we moved to the dive bar in the basement because they serve the same menu.
We actually love dive bars but this reservation was for our 7 year anniversary dinner and we specially booked Port of Call because wanted to go somewhere cozy and upscale to celebrate. Instead we were now in a loud and very crowded bar that was only slightly more comfortable than the hellaciously loud main restaurant.
Our only hope here was that the food would be excellent. My catch of the day was just fine. A small portion of fried fish plated with an obnoxious amount of lettuce. My partner got the carne asada… $58 for what was basically a small, cheap hangar steak cooked well done with some red sauce and sour cream.
We left here feeling really overstimulated, sad, ripped off, and honestly duped.
This place is a racket. Listen to your uber drivers and go to S&P instead.

Up there with some of the best cocktails I’ve had in NYC, Rome, etc. Incredibly thoughtful and fun drink menu. Bartender was very attentive and knowledgeable. Even some of the dishes that didn’t “hit” should be commended for swinging for the fences. Really really cool spot.

Came in on a Tuesday night and enjoyed the Secret Sauce dinner & jazz special, with a wonderful wait staff, great drinks from the bar, and a surprisingly fantastic jazz trio. Indulged in the beef empanadas (phenomenal) and the Hawaiian Pork Musubi (not my favorite, but still good) before flipping over to the prix fixe menu of meatballs, ricotta dumpings, fish stew, and cacio e pepe pasta, finishing the night off with a truly fantastic cookie. Couldn't recommend Port of Call more highly, especially due to the highly attentive staff that made the whole experience seamless.

What a fantastic place! Was in from out of town for the day and stumbled upon this place, came as a walk in and got seated right away! The space is beautiful and cozy, the bartenders were pros and genuinely friendly. The cocktails were creative, fun and delicious, the taste legend is genius! The food was delicious and creative too! We will definitely be back if we’re in town again!

I love good food and a craft cocktail. This place is AMAZING. One of my favorite places I've been to. They have music on Tuesdays and Happy Hour. The downstairs is super cool and fun. An experience unlike any other. Definitely need to go here if in the area.

Never disappointed when coming to POC. Always a stop when visiting mystic. From the food to the delicious drinks, there is never a miss!
The space is beautiful, the service is great, and it’s always a plus when there is live music or drag nights :-)

I'll come back. The bartender was rude and patronizing. I hope it was just a bad day.
The menu has an ample supply of variety. Dishes are cooked properly (temperature, texture) then served promptly.
The building, decor, is fashioned in an upscale coastal New England manner that fits perfectly.
