“I've been hearing so many great things about this spot that I just had to visit. The location is small & hard to miss. It's a 'Grab & Go' so there's no indoor seating, however there are two outdoor tables if you absolutely need to eat on site.

The staff is friendly and accommodating. They gave me plenty of recommendations for how to order vegan.

The food was AMAZING. Bursting with flavor, color, & spice. They also have plenty of vegan options, so I will return. Definitely a must visit if you are in the area.“

“As an event coordinator for our program, I had the pleasure of working with Milton from Jamaican Kitchen to cater a meeting we hosted in December for 55 attendees in Hamden. Although the nearest Jamaican Kitchen location was in Bristol, Milton kindly agreed to deliver the order to Hamden, going above and beyond to accommodate our needs. Having previously enjoyed their delicious food for a smaller group at the Hartford location, I knew Jamaican Kitchen would be an excellent choice. Milton was instrumental in helping me design a menu that fit within our budget while addressing the dietary restrictions of some attendees. Full review- Just found out about this gem and had to try it. As a connoisseur of Caribbean cuisine it is our mission to try and review every restaurant we can in the area.

Apparently, they’ve been open for a few months but we weren’t aware. Found them on a google maps search at 5.05pm on Saturday. The listing said they closed at 5pm. On a whim called the phone number immediately and pleaded with them to stay open for pick up. The kind lady replied that she was planning to be open for another couple of hours. So I jumped in the car and headed over there quickly.

We ordered variety of dishes :
- Chicken jerk chicken
- Curry goat
- Oxtail

The jerk chicken was running out so we completed the order with a little bit of stew chicken.

All the dishes were very good.
The rice and peas were truly special - Perhaps an extra dose of Love❤️
The Stew chicken was also outstanding.
We will be ordering all these dishes again.

The location is incredibly convenient. it is on College Street literally a block from Main Street.

Middletown is emerging us a culinary destination, and this lovely cozy Jamaican spot really elevates the game.

The food is good. The people are wonderful. the location is fantastic.

Parking: Plenty of parking- street, garage.

“Alright, there is no better Jerk Pork in the United States than Destiny Awaits. From the first bite, I felt like I had just swung by a jerk center in Port Antonio!

I have never tasted such truly authentic food in all of the United States. What was most interesting to me is that the jerk meats have the flavor of being smoked on Pimento wood, which I don't understand how they could have emulated in Hartford, CT.

“Reason why I went to Sunsplash bar and grill last night was the sunsplash on Maple avenue was closed so I went by there to get it by oxtail rice and peas salad oh my God it was so good. Also thier chicken wings are amazing the chicken meat falls off the bones. in the meat is jerked dark on the outside. I don't drink alcohol but they have a bar you can sit down and and they have a sitting area as well nice space nice place nice spot.
